Best furniture polish for antique wood.

Excellent polish for my antique clock
I needed some decent furniture polish for a clock I had recently restored. I had cleaned the wood, repaired missing bits, glued down veneer that was lifting and all the usual things needed on an unloved clock case 200 years old. I found some beeswax polish that was at least 30 years old and used up what was left on the worst areas but needed more. This polish is superb at the job. I followed the instructions and the result is stunning - a fabulous shine which has transormed the clock case from a lump of wood into a thing of beauty.I am waiting a couple of months and will give another coat of polish before passing the clock on to a family member.

Strong smell
Works well, seems to be nourishing the wood that i applied it to. Only thing I would say is that it smells strongly of chemicals, so best to keep a window open when you are using it.

Fantastic as always
Bought for my mum who swears by this brand. Quality has not been affected by the passage of time

First class product, excellent results.
Bought this wax (after reading the good reviews) to replenish our teak sideboard and dining table. Have only done the sideboard so far (the rest put on hold until after Christmas!) What a fabulous result though! It looks like a new sideboard! The colour is now rich and deep. The wood is looking deep and the grain has really been brought out. I also bought the aerosol version of this wax for a quick wax top up. This will be on my list of maintenance products. I thought I would use this wax to restore and replenish once a year or so, their spray wax once a month, and just normal furniture polish in between. It was easy to apply with microfibre cloth. Easy wipe off with another clean cloth. I left the wax on a bit longer on the areas that appeared more in need. Arrived on time and in good condition. Highly recommended product.Although the wax says transparent there is a slight colour to it so I have also added 3 photos showing both the open tin and the results I have had on my teak sideboard and my coffee table which is slightly lighter than teak. As you can see there is no overcolouring due to the slightly coloured wax, but I think it does show how the polished wood is enhanced by the wax.

Shiney Polish but sadly no beeswax smell....
The beeswax content if thus may have been reduced...I can no longer smell it.I hadn't used this for a long time and was trying to find a Polish that smelt good too so wrnt back to what I thought was an old reliable product.. It still shines up well... sadly no lovely smell...

Excellent finishing wax
We’ve been using Antiquax to polish our furniture for decades. However, recently our old oak table and sideboard suffered some very noticeable water damage despite all the years of wax and they needed to be sanded down completely to remove the signs. They were then sealed with several coats of a good varnish in the normal way, but the final finish was not as good as before.Fortunately two sessions of intensive polishing with this good old Antiquax brought the depth of grain and the gloss back, while the varnish underneath will protect them from future water damage.I know this is going against tradition, but in this instance I had no choice because of the environment, and I was delighted by the final results after a lot of hard work.
