Adequate Decorating Set
I needed the tools to decorate with, but didn't have any idea about where to begin; I spoke to my father, and he recommended Stanley, and so I decided to purchase this set. I found this decorating set to be excellent value for money, and I didn't have any problems with the quality of the product upon arrival either. What you receive is perfectly adequate and durable for the price paid, and I found using these tools very easy too. The dust sheet is of generous proportion, and the paint brushed are fairly good quality too. This was the first set I've ever had to buy to decorate with, and I certainly do recommend it - in future, I will gladly buy Stanley products again.

Very good value, but make sure you use it for the right jobs, as isn't perfect
For its price this is a good kit. The parts themselves are not brilliant, but then at that price why would they be. The brushes loose hair; what I realised was that there are damaged hairs at the start and they fall of when you begin a job, after which it gets better. What I found that works is to dust the area with an empty brush at the start and let the loose hairs fall off. So ideal for a job like painting a shed or a garage or outside. I'd use better stuff for interior decoration though

Not very good, but value for money
Bought this as a secondary piece of kit to paint my living room and hallway. I've only used the trays, dust sheet and mini-roller kit so can only comment on these:Mini Roller Kit:The mini-roller kit was TERRIBLE. I've used the gloss roller and it wasn't very firm at all - very soft and light quality. When using it, the roller wouldn't 'roll' very well, often jamming with little gloss applied on the roller. Not only that, the gloss roller fell apart after about 5-10 mins of use - it started tearing apart without even being heavy-handed. I've since bought a Harris mini-roller kit and the gloss roller attachment that comes with it is much much firmer than the Stanley one and didn't tear apart at all. The Stanley emulsion roller didn't look very good either but was never used - it seems to be very wooly and light - not the sort that looks like it will apply the paint very well on walls and leave a good finish. Note that the main roller also has the same material used as the small emulsion roller, so I would guess that it isn't very good either.Tray and Dust Sheet:Tray - seems decent enough for average use, no real complaints at all. Dustheet -. Only suitable for covering furniture, and did the job just fine. Very thin, tore after being caught on a furniture by accident. However, it's quite large and good enough for covering furniture. Would not recommend for laying on the floor as it's very light, lighter than your standard Tesco carrier bag but only very slightly thicker than a freezer bag so can be very easily ripped by walking onBrushes:Haven't used them, but by looking and holding them, you can tell they're poor quality. The handle is made of plastic and very light and the brush itself is only ideal if you're wacking on the paint on the wall and don't really mind the finish/very visible brush streaks. In terms of overall value, at £5.22 it's decent value, but don't expect too much from it. Ideal for a basic painter/one room job.

DIY weekender kit - just the job
The stuff in the kit is very "budget" as you'd expect from the price, but it's crazy cheap and ideal for say decorating one room and then binning it, which is what you'd do with this kind of kit.No faults, other than being generally a little flimsier than a trade set but again, it's not a trade product so won't ever be as good but it's spot on for a DIY weekender.

DIY DOLL
I ordered 3 sets of these as i new doing up my new house would be a challenge in two weeks, i missed the first delivery, the second was the very next day, i managed to do 3 bedrooms and one large kitchen and haven't actually used all brushes and rollers, the big roller looses it's handle strength towards the end of your job, and i found using the small fluffy roller was better to do the whole rooms.. lol imagine that!! they are durable clever and get the job done quite efficiently, will be ordering 2 more sets for the hall/landing and front room, the brushes are fantastic, you wont be picking to many hairs off your paint work, just 1 or 2

so don't be surprised that this isn't the best of quality
It costs nothing, so don't be surprised that this isn't the best of quality. That little roller ended up being incredibly useful for getting behind the radiator and stuff but the large one was so rubbish it broke within the first 10 minutes of use. For the sheer amount of included goodies it was still a good buy overall I'd say.
