My kids love it. All I hear is in Minecraft this ...
My kids love it. All I hear is in Minecraft this and Minecraft that. Great creative game for my 7 year old half the time I don't know what he was talking about when he mentions Enderman and Zombie-Pig-Men so it was an education for me watching him play through it. In the basic mode you can do just about everything from finding raw materials, to building whatever you need and mixing potions, and adopting wolves and so much more. There are other modes like survival where the game is more structured. It can be played on and offline, whether you want other people visiting your created world or not. You can play split screen 2 player even offline with 2 controllers (it does cut down arguments on whose turn it is). I have not played the PC version but I have heard this is a great conversion. It will keep kids entertained for hours; the only argument will be when they have to come off it. BE PREPARED. Also be prepared to learn the terminology know more about what they did here then what they did at school.

Yes I will also be getting the PS4 version.
Being something of a Veteran of this game now I can say that it never looses its appeal.I wont bother talking about the game cause if you don't already know I doubt you'd come here for that info. The port from pc to console is a great one, with up to 4 player split screen multiplayer and more online. This does require it to be in HD for some reason.I personally have this version, the PC version, the Xbox 360 Version and the PS Vita version. Might seem a bit much but with randomly generated worlds and the game still being updated with new features it is definately worth your time. Also this game retails at a lower price than most if you need another incentive.

The PS3 version is pretty limited in contrast
I got this for my PS3 as my nephews kept bugging me to play it on my PC. Well clearly that didn't work as they still bug me to play it on my PC as it's (in their words) "better". I'm thinking its the ability to use a mouse and have mods and whatnot. The PS3 version is pretty limited in contrast. That said however, it's not a bad game on the PS3.

All round fantastic console version
The other half plays this and says that it is one of the best games ever made. It has lots more content than the free versions, much much more and well worth the price. It is cheaper here than in the stalls and you will get all the updates with new content through the PSN for free which some version's like the Ipad don't let you do.Definitely get this if you are a console player and aren't worried about modding, if you don't know what modding is then PS3 is the best way to go

Minecraft PS3
Purchased this for our son, who has fallen in love with playing this! I have no idea what he’s on about when he’s telling me about this and that from the game but I do know that he’s enjoying building things and making worlds! His Dad has played with him on it so I feel reassured that it’s suitable for his age group as I’m always wary about that type of thing with some of the games out there as it’s our responsibility as parents to ensure our children only play with age appropriate games, toys etc. This is ideal as it’s very creative.

Good time waster!
Good concept to the game, building but promotes little interaction with others. The game itself seems to keep children occupied for as long as you want them to be through the idea of design and building houses etc but I have yet to understand the actual "point" on the game itself.

all children should have this
Personally I don't enjoy this game but then I didn't get it for me. My ten year old son has been playing the pc version for a few years now and I recently found that he'd been playing the demo version of it on the PS3 for about a year. He loves it so I thought I'd get him the full game. This copy is actually five quid cheaper than the one at the local supermarket and this was delivered free. If your kid gets this he or she will have hours of pleasure from it and by playing online with friends will get to develop their social skills by the collaborative effort to build whatever appeals to them and at a fraction of the cost of all those other games about killing people and blowing stuff up. I can't recommend this highly enough.

You got a son 6+??? Just buy it 👌👌👌
Bought for my 8 year old son over a year ago now, after reading some reviews. He seriously loves this and I’ve since buying the game, bought him Minecraft themed manuals/books. Some of the words he’s created are mind blowing. It’s not just a game, it’s problem solving, it’s design, it’s self expression, and when his cousins and friends are over they all get stuck in too. One of the best things I’ve ever bought him for those rainy days when he’s not out being his active self.
