Quick & Easy Access To TV On The Move
I bought this to use with my laptop in my campervan and I found it very easy to install, set up and get started. In fact I was watching TV within 10 minutes of opening the box.Everything you need is in the box including software, dongle, aerial and cable adaptor. The aerial seems to be capable of picking up all the main channels to a reasonable quality. I've recorded a couple of programmes and playback quality was excellent.Highly recommended as an economical and flexible solution for anyone who wishes to travel light.

Aver TV HD Green USB TV Tuner
I bought this Tuner to replace my Kworld unit, mainly because it was Microsoft certified. The Tuner is very small with a USB plug one end and a standard aerial socket the other. After installing the driver, I fired up Media Center and after the standard Tuner setup I was watching live TV with no problems.I also tried installing Aver's own TV tuner software which is a bit clunky compared to Microsoft's. I had a problem getting all the channels in the correct order. The software can be set to record programmes in MP4 format but these are still quite large needing conversion if you wish to keep any recordings. I recommend Freemake's excellent conversion program. On the whole, I'd stick to Win 7's Media Center for a slicker experience. Be warned though, HD is only available in mainland Europe as the UK uses a different T2 transmission system for HD. Recordings are in WTV format if made in Media Center, which are very large and difficult to convert. I use the built-in WTV to DVRms (right click the file) which takes seconds and then the useful DVRMStoMPEG program which makes the recording much smaller. On the whole, I'd definitely recommend the Aver HD green tuner. Its small very well built and does the job. Aver's own software is a bit quaint but does work if for some reason you don't want to use Media Center. I didn't expect HD to work and wasn't disappointed. Standard def is excellent and for less than £20 this tuner is brilliant value.

The build quality can't be argued with, and it's ...
The build quality can't be argued with, and it's extremely stable even when the PC is put into standby, but don't be mislead by the name - it will not pick up HD channels in the UK as they're transmitted solely on DVB-T2, not DVB-T.

Good TV stick
Easy install and channel scan, use 3d gui to use remote control. Can also use windows media centre if you wish.

Does not work with UK HD TV
I have an AverTV PCI Card, and thought it would be good to upgrade to HDTV. I bought this usb stick, thinking it would do the trick, unfortunately it does not.I bought a new arial to help boost the signal received to no avail. If you want a Tv Tuner that receives Freeview, then this does that. If you want Freeview HD, it doesn't.I would implore Amazon to stop Aver Media from promoting this as an HD Tuner.

Two Stars
It's OK but as there's no analogue any more it can't be used on its own

brilliant
We have had one of these tv tuners before and worked brilliantly, when it broke we bought a different brand one and it was always freezing and we had to keep re installing it, Found the above at an excellent price and bought it and works perfectly.
