Excellent product
Actilite is an excellent product, I had a skin graft and was advised to use this, Manuka honey impregnated gauze placed on a wound and covered works very well.Good value as Manuka honey products can be expensive.Only downside is the delivery time, you have to wait for it. I just order well in time when I know I need it.

Amazing product
Amazing treatment. I had quite a deep wound dehiscence about 2 X 2 CMS from a surgical wound that reopened slightly and just would not heal/close. I cut one strip into four and used individually, covering with a very good adhesive, waterproof plaster and left in place for 3-4 days each time then replaced with a new little patch & plaster.Every time I replaced it you could see the improvement and the patch came off dry with all the honey being absorbed/used for the healing process.Took approximately 3 weeks, but new tissue regeneration and healing occurred, where nothing else worked.I only used 2 whole strips so there are plenty left in the box. These have no adhesion (more of a mesh embedded with honey), so they must be covered with a dressing. They are individually sealed, so very hygienic and easy to cut to size (if required), through the pack without handling the unrequired mesh.Fantastic value for money and more importantly, they work. Would not hesitate to recommend and will always have on standby.

Good but don't like the plastic for awkward places on animals
I bought these to put on our cat's neck wound as he disappears for a few days at a time so needed something to stop it getting infected whilst bandaged up. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are made of what appears to be plastic so they aren't so soft for a cat and especially to be wrapped onto his neck (you peel one side off and then place it on the wound). They eventually slid out of the bandage leaving the honey on the wound which was good. Anyway, they must work as we tried it without any honey and just a plain gauze (as he hates honey on his fur) and he came back three days later with maggots under the bandage! With honey this does not happen and there is no infection so I'm guessing it must work...

Amazing stuff for healing wound
Got a spider bite on holiday which ulcerated so bad I came home early after a week of dressings and hospital visits. Attended hospital back home and it was the worst they seen. Was expecting a massive scar but put this on and the wound granulated, was clean and didn't itch so healed perfectly then after showering one night and patting it dry the scab just fell off and you would never know there had been a hole in my leg, very impressed, no scar and in my first aid kit for all wounds now.

very healing
Excellent - this mesh is fine and coated with Manuka honey, doesn’t stick to the wound.

Advancis Medical 99XX9150 Actilite Dressing Pad, 5cm x 5cm, Pack of 10
I've used manuka honey in tubes before and honestly I cannot tell if these actually help heal faster or not since I don't have identical/consistent repeating wounds I can do a control with, so I'll just address things which I can.It says it's non adherent. What I have used it for, I don't feel it's the case as the material is like a fine mesh (I don't feel it is rough as some people have commented on) and a scab has formed into this mesh and as I replace it it pulls it off. I feel like a simple low adherent dressing doesn't even do this.Applying it is more convenient than the tubes which I have always found messy and oozes out of the dressing . This can seep a bit depending on how much wound fluid you have but it's a fraction of the mess tubed manuka creates. It's slightly oily, and slightly tacky.Dressing is enclosed between two sheets of plastic within a plastic envelope. Frankly the envelope is oversized for the dressing size. You would think it's a 10x10cm dressing with the size they are using. If I were to buy this again, I would probably go for the larger size, and cut it to what I need. You'll get 4 times more dressing surface at under twice the price as this pack.
