Excellent model pattern of behaviour
Its an excellent insight of mechanics of human nature and i found the schema modeling excellent to the way i think conceptually. This engaged me to read and it's direct and focused and 'easy to read" given context.

I find this book Illuminating, it's very clear and uses real life examples.Contain very useful worksheet to fill in.Definitively helpful, if you want to understand the origin and break negative thinking patterns.Goes really fast!Definitively not a boring read worth to read over and over again.

Good book but…
Not impressed that you can basically get the entire book for free to read online.

Overall very good
I found this book overall very good and helpful. But it is not an easy task to work through this book. I think it helps to have the support of a professional or someone you trust if the going gets tough. It can take a lot of courage to face things in ourselves and where we've come from. It did give me insight but I am glad that I've got other interests to take my mind off my problems.

A great book by great therapists
Out of dozens of self help books that I read to help myself to improve my social anxiety - this was the most useful and effective. Together with my therapy, this book provides a strong and professional help by using the schema therapy as a basis, which is proven to be more effective than CBT (as it works more with your core emotional problems and beliefs rather than just negative thoughts and behaviours). Great explanation on all modes, especially the healthy adult mode and happy child, which is one of the main reasons (if they are weak) of having emotional problems you might have. Thank you a lot to the authors and for the exercises they provide.
