Cncdesigns Zero Clearance Inserts (4-Pack) for DeWalt DWE7485 with riving Knife Slot

I’m super impressed with these zero clearance plates! They fit well and have allowed me to precisely cut small items. It’s elevated my woodworking to another level! On top of that, they are reasonably priced and have quick delivery. It’s a win win.

Did a test fit of the insert and needed to take a couple of passes with a sanding block on the back edge for a perfect friction fit. Enclosed screws were used to flush the insert to the top of the saw, miniscule adjustment needed to level it. Works as advertised, quick and easy install. I would purchase from Cncdesigns again and certainly recommend the product.

This insert dropped in easily to my DeWalt 7485. Having a 4 pack will enable me to have an insert for each blade or miter angle I use. This will significantly improve my thin cuts. Additionally, the zero clearance slit allows me to improve cross-cut length accuracy.A more deluxe version could have featured threaded inserts for the leveling screws, but they are certainly not necessary. With that feature I would have rated this product 5 stars (and willingly paid more).Overall, I’m very satisfied.

After reading some bad reviews, I went ahead and ordered 4 of these blanks for my new Dewalt 7458. I first removed the riving knife, and lowered the blade all the way down. Then just a light edge sanding in one corner area, and it fit right into the slot. Covered with the rip fence to hold it down, turned on the saw and gently raised it up all the way through the blank. Done! Removed the insert, replaced the riving knife, lowered the blade, replaced the insert, daised the blade ……. and…. PERFECT. No hang-ups, no binding. But , the adjustment screws provided are a bit too long, but a gentle filing took care of that. I’m happy with this product, and recommend it highly for the 7485 Dewalt.

The fit was very precise - I almost had to tap it into place - and it's terrific for reducing tear out and for cutting thin pieces (they don't fall into the saw... ). The only con was that the supplied adjusting screws were a little long but, frankly, it works perfectly well without them so no worries. Good price for four of them as I'm betting they'll last for quite awhile.

These inserts do not fit very well on a Dewalt 7485 table saw. To get the right fitment you have to add shims. I would not recommend these inserts.

I got over excited and ordered inserts for the wrong saw, but before receiving the product, I received a message to clarify that I was ordering for the right saw. I of course, had ordered incorrectly but instead of just sending the product, they insured that I would be satisfied with the results. I responded, clarifying my mistake and in almost no time at all, the correct throat plates were at my door. They fit perfect, perform perfect and came with a page of well-written instructions that were clearly written by the person providing the throat plates. That is what I was told about my review. I ordered these and I ordered these for my table saw primarily for custom oak threshold cutting with less risk of the sharp spinny thing attacking the loose woody thing and pulling me into their squabble.They were far from fitting my table saw.
