Beyond that, the view flips, which takes a little getting used to.The built-in lighting is another practical feature. The three LED lights illuminate whatever you're looking at, making it much easier to see in dim conditions. There's also a UV light included, which I haven't used extensively but could be useful for specific tasks.It runs on AAA batteries (not supplied, so you'll need to get some). Operating it is straightforward, with just an on/off switch. It also comes with a small bag and a cleaning cloth, which are nice touches for keeping the lens protected.Overall, it's been a significant help. The back of a package, the small letters, almost unreadable, UNTIL you get this item. Great amplification of sight. Great lighting as it provides a strong white light on the subject you’re reading and if that’s not good enough, you can view it through ultraviolet light, which is very handy at night. This little bugger does the job. Highly recommended… but I was always with magnifying lenses. Treat the lens like gold!

It works well but I don't see the frequency of the UV light listed. I was disappointed that the carrying bag is made of some sort of vinyl, I thought it would be the velvety kind that are very scratch resistant, but alas it is not.

Reading fine print is a problem for me, so I thought this particular magnifying glass with the lights would be of help! Try it out as soon as I opened it and it works well. I am well pleased with this product.

I don't know why magnifying glasses say, "10x, 20x, 45x" when each higher power is confined to a little circle where you can only read 1 word or 1 letter at the time. I bought this for my mom and, it IS nice - the lights helped her see - but her vision has gotten worse and now that I'm trying to find a WHOLE magnifying glass twice as strong, I have to weed through this type of stuff. The only real complaint about this magnifying glass is that the battery cover will not stay on, and now Mom's is lost.
