Thirst (The Beast King Brides Book 1)

Thirst is a good supernatural romance where Bellicent who is a half-breed (half vampire half human) is trying to make her way in a world where supernaturals exist, are forbidden to reveal themselves to humans (or breed with them - this her marginalized existence where she is technically a vampire without most of the powers).Thane is the Vampire king (one of five Beast Kings in the supernatural world). He is experiencing the Thirst - a consuming drive to find one's mate. In beasts as powerful as him, if he doesn't find his mate in time, he will go crazy and the other Beast Kings will be obligated to kill him.I really liked this one and think that Hartnady did a good job balancing the story with suspense, humor, a bit of world and character building. It was entertaining and kept me interested to the end.The author has worked on overcoming some previous writing woes that have plagued her past works. She has become better. This one is a great start to the series, and I hope she continues strong with each book (not just throwing one together quickly to fit the theme and timeline as seen in some of her earlier books).

Poor Vampire King Thane is afflicted with a generational curse that is he doesn’t find his mate in a certain amount of time, he will be consumed by madness and have to be killed before he goes on a killing spree. Fate delivers the solution in the form of a half human, half vampire outcast, Bellicent.Bellicent keeps to herself in the community, as she has been deemed a social outcast due to her status. Little did Thane know that his fascination with Bellicent is more than simple attraction but something deeper leading to Bellicent questioning her existence.This was a very fun novel with lots of humor. Bellicent is so awkwardly cute and King Thane is sexy and quite humble for a King. Their connection is sweet and despite a rather silly battle scene, the story was top shelf. I also loved the introduction to the Beast Kings and look forward to reading all of their individual stories on their searches for their mates as they may suffer the same fate as Thane if they don’t mate in time.Awesome read! Great book with solid characters and a few fun twists. Their chemistry was quite sweet and spicy. I laughed out loud a few times as well. I definitely recommend.

thirst was an awesome read that I couldn't even put down!!!! I started reading it while getting my nails done. I'd just finished reading another & because there wasn't any wifi I couldn't download the next in the series. I'd downloaded this previously cause I love Charlene's books. Once I started I couldn't stop. The interaction between Thane & Bellicent was like shooting flames from the moment they met. Each & every time that the two of them meet sparks fly!!!! Thirst deserves a 10. It has kept me captivated from the beginning to the end. Well Done!!! Charlene Hartnady has really outdone herself this time. I can't wait till I start the next one in the series!!!!!

This one started out a little slow and it picked up like crazy. I like the Romeo Juliet kind of vibe and they got some pretty steamy love scenes. Definitely giving this a two thumbs up and five stars.

Quick read… I mean quick. The story evolves fast. If you like that one and done type book. This is perfect for you. Bell is your typical damsel in distress & Thane is all masculine. The book in itself is not bad. I guess I’m just use to longer slow burn books. Check it out if you like quick, one book per couple book.

This book is decent. I wish there were more descriptions rather than exclamation points. Even during a naughty scene he says, kiss me! Rather than her writing, Thane growled kiss me whilst grabbing her hips. It’s just exceptionally juvenile writing. But the story was good.

Where do I begin from beginning to end? I could not place this book down out of my hands. fantastic read hot sexual lust. I’m feeling the bite on my neck was awesome.

This is my first book ever by Charlene and I have already fallen in love with her writing. Loved the couple, the action and adventure and omg the smut was 🥵🥵🥵. Totally hooked on this series and I can't wait to read the individual stories of each king.

There’s a lot of fun bits and hot bits in this book, I liked Bell, and Thane they are good together. I liked how the tension was worked though in different and exciting twists and turns. A good read.
