Well Designed and Well Made - A Game Changer
This chair/hiking pole with the funny name has been a game changer for us. It is very light and doubles as a chair and sturdy cane. We've owned it for several months. The mechanism works perfectly, easy to set up and fold. It is sturdy as a cane, maybe a bit short as a hiking stick, but surprisingly comfortable as a temporary resting chair. However, the photo on the site shows the chair backwards. The "front" of the chair is the handle of the cane. The pole goes between your legs. Makes a nice book/map rest. If you sit on it with the pole sticking out the "back" the chair is not stable. Pay the extra for the aircraft quality aluminum.

Great cane plus handy seat easy to convert lightweight
I wasn’t sure about spending this much, but after reading the reviews, this was what I needed. It’s sturdy, lightweight, super easy to go from cane to seat & back again. After our 5 days of Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure during our Thanksgiving week trip to Orlando, it was worth every penny…lines weren’t so bad when I could sit. At 75 I still love roller coasters & flight simulators…(although I admit to needing pre dose of Dramamine each day.) Universal does it all so spectacularly. The ride staff are wonderful…would take my cane when I got on the ride & give it back on exit. I did tape an AirTag under the seat since I didn’t want to take a chance of losing it (at $170 with tax). The cane could have used a nice flat spot to tape the AirTag, but it stayed just fine.

Great, but failed after hard and prolonged use.
Loved this chair. Took it all over, Scotland, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, hiking in Yosemite, around theme parks, parades, events and museums. Met a lot of jealous people out there who didn’t have a place to sit. This version, while lighter finally gave up the Ghost in northern Italy, when I could not get it to collapse. I jury rigged it, and it worked for a little bit longer, but finally had to junk it. I bought the 2 version, but it just seems clunkier. Thinking of buying another one of these anyway. But design wise, the cable needs a guard to keep it from slipping out of the track. If you have a similar problem, focus on trying to keep the cable from hanging up and leaving its intended path. Enjoy!

Came in Clutch for Our London & Paris Trip – My 87-Year-Old Mom Loved It!
I bought this folding chair for a recent trip to London and Paris, and I’m so glad I did. My 87-year-old mom came with us, and as you can imagine, long days of walking and sightseeing can be tiring. This chair came in clutch. It’s incredibly lightweight and easy to carry with the included carry bag pulled it out whenever we needed a break, whether we were waiting in line at Versailles, resting in a park, or just taking in the Eiffel Tower. It sets up in seconds and held up well even with frequent use.My mom said it made all the difference. Without it, we would have had to cut our days short. Highly recommended for travel, especially if you’re bringing along older family members or just want the flexibility to rest anywhere.Had no issues taking this thru TSA and in thr airplane. Fits in the overhead bin

Great seat and walking stick in one package
I used this for about six months after recovering from a broken leg. It made it very easy to get aid and also have new a place to sit and rest when my leg got tired.

A Must Have If You Are Bringing An Elderly To Events!!!
My dad, with health condition, get tired easily when doing a bit of walking, but he likes going to festivals and events with the family. One thing of concern is always about finding a place for him to sit down and rest, but that is not always available at some events and sitting down at the curb isn't ideal for him, especially he has a hard time getting up. After seeing several people carrying different versions of a walker with fold down seat, I started googling around for a decent one for my dad. I came across the Ta-Da Chair. I read through many reviews before deciding on whether it is the one for my dad. Needless to say, my decision was right. This Ta-Da Chair is light-weight enough for my dad to use as his walker in events, and the seat is easy to fold down for him to take a sit for a quick rest. The built is pretty solid. I sat on the seat a couple times at events, and it felt solid that I can trust to put my weight on it. Although I find the seat easy to fold back up, it wasn't so easy for my dad, so he won't be able to use it on his own, which wouldn't be a big deal, since we are always with him at events. However, it might be something to consider when buying for someone to use on their own. I am sure it is not hard for some elderly to figure out, but my dad's hands aren't like they used to be. Definitely a good buy. Though a bit pricy, but willing to pay for quality.

Great gadget
Love how it's lightweight but still confidently holds my 170 lbs. Easy to operate. Feels sturdy, very well made. The height is perfect (I'm 5'9" & chose the L). Will be handy for me when on long walks to take a short break. I have a bad spine that affects my right leg. The seat on this isn't actually "comfortable" but it still will provide relief for a short period of time. Merry Christmas to me! Lol

I love the product, but it is difficult to travel with,
The cane works well. Easy to open and shut. Reasonably light weight. Walks like a trekking pole. I would give it 5 stars, if only the lower part of the stick could telescope. I am 5 feet, but legs short. The shortest model is an inch or so too tall and I have trouble getting on and off the seat .The cane is not allowed in carry on, per TSA. No sticks of any kind. And the pole is too long for my suitcase. So I had to check it as a second bag and pay $35. So it does not plane-travel well. If the lower pole would telescope, then it would fit in my suitcase.
