My mother had one of these when I was growing up and I felt I didn't need one...until I did. Super big help when ironing my sleeves and especially since I make a lot of my clothes. Can't imagine how I did without one. Easy to put together. Easy and sturdy to use.

This review is for the "Padded Chest & Sleeve Tailor Ironing Board Long with Wooden Base for Household Tools". I grew up with a mother who was, amongst her many God-given talents, an accomplished seamstress. I learned how to press a sown garment's seams with a similar armboard such as this one. The board is very well made, and the padding adds the extra curve making it perfect for ironing shoulders, sleeves, and tiered skirts and dresses. I contacted the merchant and received an answer quickly and they helped me with what I needed. Five stars are well deserved for a great product and excellent customer service!

I needed this to help with the alterations of 2 dresses. The shoulders and sleeves needed to be taken up. This was a big help as it gave support exactly where I needed it to pin the fabric in place. It’ll get a lot of use in the near future.

I got this for my daughter, who is a self-taught seamstress, only making clothes for herself, but constantly researching in order to improve her skills. I'd like to think she's half-way decent as she's been featured on a number of blogs, webpages, fabric and pattern sites. I did a lot of research before purchasing this (I'm not a sewer, though) and it seemed like the best option. Best...she loves it!

When I took it out of the plastic wrap, I got a splinter. Not good. At this price point the wood should have had a final sanding with a fine sand paper.I could finish it off myself, im not happy about doing a job the manufacturer should have done.It's not slip resistant either, it's just a wood bottom.I didnt assemble it yet, I will decide in the morning if I will sand it and keep it or send it back.I would have given it 5 stars if the wood was smooth and sanded But since the manufacture skipped the final details, this product is over priced.
