Update on this: It actually does fit my 2004 MF 1431
This was slightly too large (diameter was 1/2 mm to large) to fit in my 2004 MF 1431. No problems sending it back though. However, after trying other OEM filters, I discovered the fuel filter assembly on my tractor was not a standard assembly. Someone had put a different cup and filter in place of the original. So I believe this filter would fit an OEM fuel filter assembly for a 2004 model 1431.
