Awesome bass and set for the price.
Excellent 1st time bass. Great strings, stays tuned and holds a tune. Amplifier that comes with it does the job. Crackles alil but has a great sound. Definitely worth the buy for anyone looking to learn. Value for money:If your unsure but want to try, buy this bass and the set. I love it!

Cool Bass, Excellent Customer Service
I presented my partner with this cool bass and amp for an early holiday gift. He played bass as a youth and I knew this would be the perfect gift...and it was! The only challenge was the amplifier was buzzing and not working properly. After a few back and forths with the seller, we received a replacement amp in 1 day. It works! We had a very positive experience and would recommend. Great product for a great price.

An impressive deal
Do initial setup. (The strings on mine touched the frets and buzzed at many points and the problem was the tension and height on the bridge - the neck is nice and straight.) Change the strings. Re-seat the strap anchors so that the bass doesn't slide around and you have yourself a pretty good deal. The amp is trash but the amp isn't the point. The bass plays really nice once you change the strings and mess with the setup. For reference, I play a high end bass as well with built in preamps and all of that. This is not that but for the price it is really really good, light and great to begin on. Looks nice too. Great finish. The humbuckers are weak as some have commented before me but it doesn't make a difference in the practice space. I have to turn my amp to 4 instead of 3 to match the band. I think in this case, the weakness of the pickups is a boon as the pickups are a bit noisy anyway. All the little extras that come with it are cheap but helpful, the gig bag, the tools, and even the amp if you want to practice with headphones. I mean the whole thing is cheap but that's why I bought it.

Teen learner bass and amp set.
Bought as a christmas present. Perfect learner guitar. Looks and feels quality. Plays well enough to learn with and when the kid realizes that bass isn’t for her I’m not out an arm and leg. Amp leaves a little to be desired as it has a squelch and buzz.

Just top notch for the price, but customer service gives you the runaround when problems occur
It's truly a phenominal deal, great sounding bass, with a pretty darn good little amp. and a nice cheap case. Let's see, the strap did break, but hey, whatever, I had my wife make me a new one, so it's no big deal. The only issue is it wont work with the amp any longer. I don't know what caused it, but it seems like faulty wiring.. I was in contact with the company, and they had me run down the troubleshooting list and I did all their steps, showing that the wiring in the guitar was the problem, and I kept telling them I really like their product, I only want it fixed or replaced, I dont want money back, I like the bass want to keep playing it, but they kinda blew me off after I went through all the motions to prove it was the bass that was the problem. So I still play it for practice, just without sound, and I sure would like to plug it in and play it again, or better yet, have it replaced with another one that works fine. but it's not looking like thats gonna happen. But if the company reads this and decides to help this time, and lets me send it back in for repair, or replacement. just know, I'll gladly, and quickly, chamnge this to a five star review, as I really love the bass, and still think it's a great deal!

Worth every penny
Would recommend for anyone looking for a budget friendly bass.Very pleased with the craftsmanship of this bass. Neck is straight, all frets are smooth, more C shaped like Fender necks and string spacing is similar. Action is low enough and no fret buzzing. Body is super light but doesn't neck dive. Electronics all worked, no feedback or static, still may replace them with EMGs as I originally planned to.I do find the jack placement in relation to the strap harness to be far if you put your cable through the strap to keep it out of the way.I have 2 other basses in this price range, this is the only one I would say not only did I get my money worth, but got more than I paid for.

Very good update
Beginner bass player here . Looked at many different basses and prices . The body of this bass is beautiful , quality as good as higher priced . The edge of the frets are smooth . The only thing I might change are the strings . The 20w amp in the kit does what it is supposed to do . I'm still in wonder that this kit only costs $120.00 . There are many to choose from and when I can play I will get another but for now , very happy . Will update . UPDATE .... best update so far , changed stock strings to D R black beauties .Wow what a difference .The stock strings were really bad , weakest link in a cheap guitar . Now looks much better and plays so much better . I'm on a learning curve here , never restrung a guitar before , learning from ground up ! Now all I need to do is learn to play this very cool looking bass .
