Q: How can you possibly expect to extract 28 amps from an ordinary domestic 13 amp socket? Madness.

Some people seem to confuse that this device has 2 ends. The "wall plug" end and the "business" end. The 100+Amp figures are for the business end, nobody disputes that. As people rightly said, the descriptions quote it will draw 28Amps from the mains on the wall plug end. In the UK wall plugs are limited to 13A as both the wall socket and the plug is designed for that. If you exceed this (by changing the fuse) you run the risk of melting the socket or the plug and in the extreme cases starting a fire.

Q: where can i get a regulator from

Hi, we do not stock or sell gas regulators. These could be sourced online or at a harware retailer.

Q: Can I use this to weld Aluminium on my Landrover?

You can weld with aluminium wire and argon gas..but the Al wire is soft and snags easily.
