I bought used including only the 3/8" blade for about $40. It's very well built out of heavy duty aluminum with stainless steel slides and the few screws stainless. It's very robust and functions smoothly and I'm confident it will last along time. It requires significant but not unreasonable force to get a potato started, which is all I've cut so far. I think it's quite a good value at what I paid but I've found even better since so wouldn't choose this with the options I found since. It came with one singular spare blade for use in repairing the cutting blade when necessary. I expect that to be a long time from now. I found the 3/8" blade is larger than I prefer for French fries (my main use) and exhaustive searching for replacement blades found a 3 pack of 1/4" blades for $34 as by far the best deal. I still haven't found the singular repair blades at a reasonable price. During my search I did come across this exact same model with 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and I believe 6-section blades included new at a 4 letter site for around $50 and the next better version with a long handle for leverage and the multiple blades for less than $60. Overall, even with the $34 investment for 3 spare blades I'm content with the value due to the truly industrial build quality and function but I recommend anyone reading this to both look at used options and check both sites for the upgrade I mentioned available as of 9/28/2024 for a really exceptional deal.

Absolutely awesome. Got this for the restaurant prep and it haven't been easier to cut. Keep hearing praises from workers. About to order more for another location.

I have RA and cutting up vegetables and fruits have been a lot on my hands and I end up in pain. I had gotten to the point of not wanting to make certain dishes because it hurts to cut some much. My husband would help and would cut everything I needed to help, but I hated always having to ask. I have tried soooooo many different cutters and they all have been a joke. This one will cut through a (half) potato or (half) an onion, any veggies and fruits you need. My husband was able to cut through a whole onion but I was not strong enough to push it through, but it will cut it and not break like others cutters have done on me. It has really helped and I do recommend, this needs to be a staple in your household

It is a nice chopper. So far my employees love it and I like the price. 1/2 the price of the comparable chopper and the extra blades are a plus

Came with almost everything in the pictures. Missing metal replacement cutter blades (I received 2. Pictures depict otherwise.) Missing little wrench/screwdriver. (Again the picture depicts otherwise)Other than the missing pieces, the chopper works wonderfully. Strongly recommend NOT taking out the cross-hatch part of the blades to just make slices. The metal is very thin, and easily bends. I deducted a star due to that issue…..if you bend them, the plastic cross-hatch will not engage the other blades. (Very disappointing since I just wanted slices of bell pepper as an example).Another reason for the second missing star….. there is nowhere to buy just the blades….you have to buy the replacement “set” at 3 for almost 40 dollars. Had I known this, I would have bought the other chopper that comes with all 3 sizes for just a few more extra dollars. (In fact…. I am on the fence to return this 3/8” chopper just for this reason alone.)The mechanics of the chopper is great! It slices potatoes with great ease, with the ergonomic handle, it doesn’t require a lot of downward force.

Cut 40 pounds of potatoes in no time at all and was super easy to cut. Definitely recommended and a great purchase.

Habe ein stabiles Gerät zum Pommes schneiden gesucht, nachdem mein Plastikding aus dem Supermarkt auseinander gefallen ist.Positiv:-Schneidet (auch große) Kartoffeln wie Butter.-Stabiler Stand und stabile Bauteile.-Kein verrutschen durch die vertikale Kraftwirkung nach unten-relativ schnell auseinander zu bauen-ausreichend Platz unter dem Gerät für eine kleine SchüsselNegativ:- wackelige Hebelmechanik mit einem etwas fummeligen Querbolzen, den man zur Reinigung heranziehen muss.- das Messer ist mit dem Unterteil fest verbunden, was die Reinigung ziemlich erschwert.- für die Aufbewahrung ziemlich sperrig.Fazit:Die Reinigung könnte gerne einfacher sein, die Schneidfunktion selbst ist aber klasse. Würde ich somit wieder kaufen.
