Don’t buy at any cost
Please do not buy one of these hot tubs unless you want a life of misery, at best they may work for a month after that you are sending the pump back and forth , mine has broken over 17 times and it’s now a standing Joke

Fantastic portable spa
We've had our Swift Current v2 for over a year, and contrary to othe reviews here, the pump/ heater have worked without any problems. We've had the pump running continuously for 2 weeks at a time and the temperature is always consistent. Small issue with rubber seals where the pipes join the pump inlet/outlet but I emailed Canadian Spa and they sent 4 spare seals free of charge.I found customer service to ge very good. One small criticism is about the filters, which while washable, do deteriorate, with a coating on the plastic peeling off after the weeks use.Overall, we're extremely pleased, the spa has been particularly good throughout lockdown, summer and winter.

Canadian Spa - nothing but trouble
Got a Rio Grande v2 which is identical to this and been nothing but trouble. The air check valve is now on it's second failure which means return of the entire unit, as the valve is a fixed one in the liner and cannot be removed/repaired, causes water to leak constantly. The heater/psu has failed twice requiring returns, the lid has never stayed inflated (2 returns) and is now deflating againObviously out of guarantee and now just a piece of plastic in a box to go to the tip

Comparison to Lazy Spa Paris - Great if you want to be able to use your hot tub in the winter
We orginally had a Lay-Z-Spa Paris, which we really enjoyed, but completely failed (after having several parts replaced under warranty) after 18 months of tough, regular, use. We are a family with two small children, and have lots of visiting children, so need something reasonably hardy! The Canadian Spa version is better for us, as it can be used normally in temperatures under 4 degrees. (We found the Lay-Z-Spa would work but would use vast amounts of electricity, and the temperature would soon go down once you were in.) In cold weather it does very slowly loose temperature, but you're still fine to stay in for an hour when it's zero degrees outside.Pros- Nothing has gone wrong yet (after 2 months of daily winter use)- Seems more sturdy than the Lay-Z-Spa- Filters more expensive but last a lot longer so cost probably about the same.- Seems to keep clean better than the Lay-Z-Spa- The customer service people respond helpfully to emails- More energy efficient than the Lay-Z-SpaCon's- Obviously much more expensive. Not worthwhile unless you want to use it in cold temperatures. (For us that's the best bit of having a hot tub - getting the family outside in the winter months. We found we wanted to pack it away in the summer.) Similar to the Lay-Z-Spa in most other ways.- We found the Lay-Z-Spa more comfortable to sit in (as it has inflatable walls rather than foam.)- Filters tricky to change and water seems to pour out sometimes when changing the filters. No comments on the bubble functions as we only use these to mix chemicals, and to cool down the spa when it's got too hot.Three things we've found useful (relevant for any portable hot tub) are to buy a thermal blanket for it (makes a big difference to efficiency), put foam mat's on the floor underneath it and to get a squirter type pool water gun to suck up the bits that gather on the bottom of the pool.

Break down after leak after breakdown !
Ive had my spa for a couple of years and have had problem after problem with it leaking and the pump breaking down. All the leaks it had i managed to repair myself but recently the seam on both sides in the tub have completed failed tearing under the strain of the water (about 6 inches each side which just can't be fixed). I have had to send my pump off to Canadian Spa around 5 or six times over the time i've had it, for various faults (none of which were under warranty) and each time it came back, lasted for 2 or 3 months then something else went wrong. Each time i have to package it up and pay for a courier to take it and bring it back, which isn't cheap!(as well as repair cost). Just before the huge tears appeared i foolishly purchased a hard top cover at £300, (the inflatable one which comes with it burst inside along the internal seams, leaving it looking odd) thinking it couldn't break down again but was wrong again. This is supposed too be a quality but more affordable alternative to the big ones, and at £1,500-£1,900 isn't cheap, so i wouldn't expect all the things listed above to go wrong! I have no alternative now, with seams that have failed beyond repair and a pump on breakdown number 6, to put it in the bucket which is a shame as it looks great and i have a new lid which i can't use. I have taken great care of my spa since i got it and enjoyed it when it was working, but it really will cost you many repairs and frustrating times when you have it. So disappointed to say...please don't waste your money!

Winter cost £50 - £60/month @ 15.31 p/kWh
I’ve had this hot tub for a year now and it’s been fantastic but it has been a hefty increase to the electric bill running over winter.I bought the hard top which is another £300 and have the tub on a heat retaining mat along with the cover that sits on the water. The electric used just by the hot tub has been between £50 - £60 / month during winter with my provider costing 15.31 p/kWh.Not an issue for me, I use it at least 3 times a week and feel the cost is justified, but it’s certainly more than I thought it would cost initially and that’s excluding chemicals and filters.
