Crystala Filters IC40 Pool Salt Chlorine Generator, Compatible with Pentair 520555 IntelliChlor IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator, up to 40,000 Gallon Pool

The product was advertised as a fully compatible replacement for the Pentair IC-40; however, new fittings are required, it has a 120 volt plug-in and in-line transformer, replacing the 220 connection on the IC-40, and no owner's or installation manual. Totally unacceptable. I would have liked to have that information prior to purchase. I would not recommend this product to anybody unless they are prepared to hire both an electrician and PVC installer, which would bring the actual price to about what I would pay for a new Pentair IC-40.
