Wouldn’t drive mine
Have no idea how it sounds. Was really hoping this would replace my audioengine DAC, sadly it wouldn’t drive my Focal Bathys at all. Returned.

No audio with Apple earbuds with USB-C connector.
The adapter was supposed to work with audio devices…but my earbuds play no sound at all when plugged into my iPhone…not happy.

Doesn’t work!
They Type C won’t go all the way and therefore it is not detected by the phone.

It works as advertised
Got my Electron today, and it works really well with my Rhodium and my work iPhone. Just plug it in and it goes! Simple, small and affordable.

Cheaper and neater alternative to Apple Camera Adapter for USB C headphone DAC
TL;DR; It works!I purchased this to connect my Qudelix T71 headphone DAC to an Apple iPad Air 2.The consensus online is to purchase an Apple Camera adapter - Lightning to USB A (A1440). Even secondhand, these are still very expensive. From the description, I could see this was intended to work with the headphone DAC from the same company, so I took a punt.I was able to passthrough 2.0 audio up to 192/24 and 44.1 5.1 on supported apps (my DAC has 7.1 support). Job done! The negatives:Whilst the USB C male clicks home securely, and I didn't notice any connection issues, it does protrude a little. An aesthetic niggle that may be a deal-breaker for you. Also, given the design, I'd suggest that it's more suitable for use on the desk in front of you, to reduce the risk of snapping it off.Oh, and responding to the other reviews:This isn't a DAC, so you can't plug a pair of headphones directly into it.The device you connect should have its own power source - my DAC has its own battery and is set to not draw current, so it works fine.I haven't tested this with other devices, but as a means of connecting a powered USB C DAC to an Apple device with a lightning port, it does the job at a reasonable price.
