Very helpful book
As a mom with a lively 2.5-year-old, I really enjoyed this book. The tone of the book makes it seem like the author gets it β making tricky ideas seem simple and totally manageable. What really stands out for me are the practical bits, especially the STOP technique. Itβs straightforward but seriously effective, especially when my daughter is throwing a tantrum because I didn't give her "her cup". This is the stuff that sets the book apart. One thing, though: It does get a bit repetitive in some parts. But I imagine the point is to drill in the important stuff so it actually sticks. What I appreciate the most is that this book, like other reviews have said is that it is like a guide that I can return to from time to time. It works because the advice grows with the kiddos β from the terrible twos right up to the teenage years. And trust, I've bookmarked a bunch of stuff to return to as my daughter grows.Itβs a real toolkit for parents, full of actionable tips for handling everything from tantrums to teaching responsibility. For anyone in the parenting boat, "The Amai T Method" is solid. It is a definite must-read for practical, down-to-earth parenting help.

A must read for all parents!
I highly recommend this book (guide) to all parents. As a single parent, raising 2 daughters and a son has been an oft daunting task. Trying to apply the lessons I learned from my own personal childhood only seemed to make things more difficult and frustrating, not just for me, but for my children as well. This book has opened up my mind to the realm of possibilities of what healthy relationships between parents and children actually look like. I consider it a guide because I used it daily to continue to develop myself as a parent and reinforce the concepts contained therein. As a result, my relationship with my kiddos has improved and continues to improve. I will never be a perfect parent, but this book gives me the opportunity to be the best parent I could ever possibly be, and enjoy and build on this relationship with my kiddos. It is a must read for all parents. Not just a one time read. Read it again and again and see how it changes your relationship with you children. 5 stars π

I finished it in 1 day!!!
EDIT: I've found myself re-reading this several times, especially the section on Awareness. It's definitely very uncomfortable having to confront the deeper, darker aspects about yourself; but I guess that's how the biggest transformation tend to happen. What I love the most is that this is not a read-once-and-done kinda book. But rather, it's the kinda book that you can revisit again and again, because it's just THAT applicable. Truly a must-have parenting bible π π π_______________________This book has been a game-changer for my household - no fluff, just results!I love how it's not just a typical parenting guide, where they'd give you generic advice on what to do without understanding how unique your circumstances are. But rather, it's more of a compass for navigating parenthood. The strategies offered aren't just effective; but they're accessible as well. I love how the author ensure that the method is applicable to families of all backgrounds - which I think is the strongest point of the book.I learned more effective parenting strategies, yes. But more surprisingly, I learned a ton about MYSELF - which I totally didn't expect. But once the author broke it down, about how parenthood and childhood are intricately linked together, it all made sense!! And that's when I realized how special this book really is π₯°Saying that it's eye-opening is an understatement. And not to mention, the warm, compassionate tone makes the insights go down easy, with no confusing, condescending jargons (which I appreciate A LOT). It feels like you're chatting with an old (and very wise!) friend. If you're ready to be a better parent and a more self-aware human in general, this book is a MUST-HAVE πππ
