Very good budget gaming cpu
Got this cpu specifically because i can't afford a good GPU right now and has integrated graphics, have to say im surprised with its performance just on its own. Igpu works perfectly for light games such as Minecraft, fortnite and others. Surprisingly i was even able to run Minecraft mods with shaders at a consistent 30fps low and a cinabench score of 10900. Only negative I could give it is the fact overclocking is kinda goofy. If you try it through the bios it thermal throttles but through the amd chip master software i got it to a stable 4.70ghz with a cinabench score of 11940. Definitely worth the price considering more expensive options such as the 5600 are only 5% better at almost $20-$50 more, not to mention the lack of integrated graphics .

Perfect CPU for daily use that do not require high performance components.
Great CPU. Works flawlessly. Upgraded from a 3400g, totally worth it, it is noticeably faster.

Fantastic value APU for the casual gamer or non-gamer
I downgraded from a 3700X and 1660 Super to this 5500GT. Why? The heat from the previous setup was nuts and its just really too hot in Florida to have a space heater pumping out heat when I'm not even playing games. My GPU idled around 40C and my GPU was not far form that either, so two hot sources just idling. And when gaming, my goodness, it was hot. I downgraded for $115 to the 5500GT and can still play the same basic games I was, casually, nothing GPU intensive, this is not a serious gaming chip, but its fine for basic games, casual games, etc at 1080p with low-medium settings which is fine for how infrequent I actually play games. The CPU is fast as one would expect, really good value for the cost still if you're still trying to get more time out of AM4 and DDR4. My idle temps are 21~26c now total. Really different in terms of heat when idling and just browsing/watching/etc. When gaming it was in the 40's C total from the system. Heat is not pouring out of my case anymore. I'm not sitting in sweat next to this box anymore. Happy downgrader here.

Has been a great cpu off the rip.
Has handled me gaming on it from day one (I do have a dedicated graphics card) but the integrated gpu isnt bad either. Id recomend this cpu to anyone thats looking to budget build a pc. Temps are a little high running cinabench on the stock cooler it came with but i upgraded to an AIO and it sits around 66 c on the full multi core run.

Great budget option while available
If you're building a small pc or a server on a budget, the 6 fast cores, integrated graphics, and low power draw is for you. Comes with a cooler that's works fine especially if you undervolt the cpu.

AMD - as good as it gets
AMD has been producing top quality CPUs at reasonable prices for a long time. This CPU has the graphics controller built into it so I did not need to purchase a separate video card. Good stuff!

Buy this instead of the 5600G
It’s essentially the same, but costs less. The 5500GT also has a slight edge in performance (~1%) over the 5600G. Runs great. Runs cool with the stock cooler (or any cooler really). Quick to install. Great value. If you have an extra $10-15, then go for the 5600GT for a little more performance.
