This cage with the side grips in conjunction with the native 10x zoom of my Galaxy S24 Ultra allows me to actually use my phone to make usable video, even at the race track. It's amazing how much smoother and steadier I can be by adding the handles to this cage. And the inclusion of the 67mm filter plate, allowing me to use quality ND filters is also fantastic.The cage is rugged and has abundant 1/4-20 thread mounts allowing you to position multiple things at the same time.But as i mentioned in the title, this cage on this already large phone makes it way to bulky for me to use it as my day to day case. And I don't think that's how the designers intended it to be used. But when I go places knowing I'm likely to take video or specifically to take photos, this case either gets carried along, or I just put the phone in it and deal with it's size for a while.I think if you do lots of hiking/backpacking, this case with a lanyard hanging on your backpack, and with some filters and a small tripod easily accessible will allow you to level up your photography/video game.

First off it's well built, very polished finish and is light enough. Easy to put your phone in and does not innterfere with sireless charging. I mounted a anamorphic lens and ND filter. Works great handheld. I also mounted it on my DJI RS3 Pro. The 1/4 holes fit perfectly and the coldshoe allowed me to mount a SSD mount, which was very snug, not loose. I do not have a mic so I haven't tested mounting one along with the SSD mount, but I did test all coldshoe points and they all fit well. So the cage does what it's supposed to. Don't drop your phone though, not sure if it's designed to protect the phone from falls.

Phone slides in easily. Has a very simple easy to use lock mechanism. Also both the bluetooth handle that attaches and the combination is great. Makes taking product shots and videos much easier.

Arrived promptly and in good condition. Cage and filter/lens mounts are 100% metal construction (with rubber pad along phone interface.) Cage fits snug but well. Filter/lens mounts tak a little pressure to slide into place, but are a secure fit. Tested for light intrusion with a 20-stop solar filter at max ISO and 30-seconds of exposure and found zero light intrusion behind filter. One thing to note is that the 17mm and T-Mount are not adjustable and sit over the wide (x1) lens. Everything said, amazing quality for price.

The first case I received didn't hold the lens frame adapter. The second case I received held the lens frame adapter, but the lens frame hole was not aligned with the phone camera, so it did not work.

The only bad thing I have to say is changing the lense plates is somewhat difficult, I can't do it with one hand. I got this to attach my S24 to a telescope and with additional adapters it worked very well for that!I put a lense protector on the phone and it still fits in the cage. See picture for the style lense protector I have.

This case comes without lens protection. It also doesn't sufficiently provide protection for the phone screen and back of your phone. This is a dealbreaker I am only keeping the case because it will make me use my camera more. I have a small business and need to use my camera to make graphics. As soon as I slid the phone into the case (in the same manner that the employee in the neewer video on YouTube installed his phone into the case) I was horrified because the aluminum case grazed the camera lens of my brand new phone. My previous case that I have only used for a week did not endanger the camera lenses during the install. I was also horrified when I found out that the attachments are not magnetic and the hooks that allow them to be attached to the phone can also scratch your camera lenses especially over time during everyday use. Newer needs to focus on phone protection that is the main reason you buy a metal case. The only benefit of this case is that this case makes you believe that your phone is a piece of camera equipment and that will psychologically encourage you to take more and better quality pictures with your new 8k capable cell phone. You need to factor in purchasing screen and lens protectors into your budget.
