Ishii Tile Cutter - Big Clinker - 25-1/2" JW-650STWAM

I've been through alot of cutters over the years. My favorite by far was a Brutus that grew legs and walked out of mylife. Ishii makes the big box store QEP cutters. Since they discontinued the Brutus model, I figured I would spend a little more and try this one.So far, it works ok. The way it functions is a little different than any other cutter I have used. On this one, you have to flip the breaker up out of the way (it's on magnets) to use the cutter and then drop it back down to snap the tile. When you do snap the tile, the handle sits so high up that you cannot use the rails for leverage and steadiness. Even much cheap QEP/Ishii models have an adjustable height handle. This one does not. The cutting wheel is no better than the 7 dollar QEP wheels, yet this one costs 30 dollars to replace. This finish is only painted, not anodized, so naturally it is all scratched up within the first 10 tiles. The edge guide is the exact same as the "guaranteed to never be able to go to a square 90 degree angle" as the cheaper models. The only difference is that the pain on this one is so thick that the edge guide will absolutely NOT slide in the adjustment track on the cutter. All in all, at twice the price of and Ishii/QEP, this cutter was really just a big waste of money. But hey, it looks cool, right?

My co worker introduced me to this board. I think it's great. It cuts tile so easily. For the price also if it last me a year or 2 it has served its purpose. I would buy it again and again. Great board.🤙

This cutter works just like mi older Ishii I like the updated things that have been added, it doesn't cut all the tiles that are now in the market but I still recommend it for those that are professional installers, I would like to have a bigger measurement rule

Cuts clean and is easy to use. The rails are extremely high quality.

Love this cutter. Nice clean cuts faster than wet saw by far.

My husband absolutely loves it. He said they made some upgrades that weren't on the one he has been using (borrowed from a friend).
