I read mixed reviews about The Sub and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. If you follow the instructions(moisten the glass, hold at a 45 degree angle and pull down sharply on the tap) with the machine you get a perfect beautiful pint.I’m fussy about my beer and I’m not fond of beer in a can or a bottle so this was perfect for me. A tip i’d have is to moisten a glass and give it 10 minutes in the freezer before you pour. Also when you chill your Torp in the fridge it still takes 25 min or so for the Sub to bring the temperature down to 2 degrees but even if the light is red on the machine, you can still pour. It just won’t be as cold as recommended.

Great to have for parties or just to have in the kitchen just for a quick sip of beer if you don’t fancy a full glass! Great fresh draft beer beer

Well built and good quality finish. Doesn't look out of place in the kitchen and would be a great addition to any man cave.Easy to use, beer can be a bit 'lively' but once you get the technique it mostly goes without a hitch.Good selection of beers available. Make sure to chill the Torps overnight. On first use the Torp had been in the fridge for a couple of hours, and the machine took about 2hrs to get it down to temperature. A couple of days later I used a Torp that had been in the fridge for a day or so and it only took around 15 minutes.Keeps beer nice and cold. Never left a Torp in it for long enough to test the 14 day freshness claim but as each Torp is only 2 litres (just shy of 4 pints) then hopefully I'll never experience the beer going bad.5 stars for quality, but Torps are relatively expensive, meaning your average pint is still around £2. Cool bit of kit, but definitely a home luxury. 4 stars overall.

I now have 2 of these Subs, a his and hers, mine for beer and wife's for cider. The Sub has just recently named over the selling of the replacement Torps to Beerwulf who provide an excellent service with many beer, craft beers, IPA,s and cider on offer. The taste from the Sub is just like a regular pub pint. Very happy.
