Solved my problem.
This adapter allowed me to simultaneously output audio signal to a digital receiver/speakers and analog (PCM only) headphones. Other adapters would have only split the signal but kept the same format for each line.

Quick install, easy to configure, works with multiple devices...
I bought this product because my parents like to use a combination of an external sound bar plus TV ears with their television and peripheral devices (such as satellite TV box). The problem was that they had to replace their satellite box and lost the analog outputs because the new box only had digital. Their TV ears are analog and digital ones are very expensive. So what to do?From their smart TV we have optical audio coming out so that no matter what they are watching, all audio is on that same cable. It first goes into this splitter box into Input 1 (there are 3 optical inputs and you select which one to use by pressing the Switch button - you know which one it's using because an LED illuminates next to the selected input). From this box I run another optical cable out to their sound bar, and the analog L/R to their TV ears.Although you can switch which input you want to use, it outputs sound to ALL connected devices which is exactly what I wanted. Now they can get audio on the sound bar AND their TV ears at the same time and if they don't want to hear one of them they just turn that one off.The box plugs into a standard power plug and was installed and tested in less than 5 minutes. It comes with an optical cable which wasn't clear in the description so I purchased an extra one - so now have a spare. One slight design issue (which has NOT impacted the functionality of the product) is that when I pushed the optical cable into the box (on the output side) the interface sunk into the box just a bit. Either I pushed a little too hard or the socket isn't fixed very well to the box. It didn't impact the sound or connectivity at all so it might just be a little bit of solder on the inside that wasn't put in. I haven't taken away any rating points for this as there's no way to tell if it was manufacturing or user-caused.Great box that does exactly what I needed for a great price.

Don't leave it run continuously.
This was a replacement for the one I bought two years ago. The analog output simply quit working, but that's probably my fault. The instructions say that you shouldn't leave the unit on when it's not in use. I ignored that because it was a PITA to turn it off and on all the time. So it quit working after two years. But, it's very convenient while it's working. FO in (as many as three inputs) and one FO out and two RCA jacks for analog output.

Does What It’s Supposed To, With Just One Flaw
It was easy to install. It was just a matter of connecting the (included) optical audio cable from my tv to the device, and then connecting the (not included) RCA analog audio (red and white) cable from the device to my stereo, and then connecting the (included) power adapter to the device and plugging it in.I wanted to get audio from my one-year-old UHD tv to my 6-year-old vintage-style analog turntable/cd player/Bluetooth receiver/radio receiver/cassette player. This device does exactly that. The volume on the tv and on the music center both work with this device connected, so I can choose how much of each one I would like to use at the same time.My only complaint is that when I switch between tv inputs, there is a fast popping sound which is harsh and annoying although it only lasts a fraction of a second every time.

Allows me to have 5.1 AC3 *and* Bluetooth Headphones without changing settings
I previously got a Bluetooth transmitter so I could watch TV without disturbing my family late at night. The original plan was to use passthrough on the BT transmitter to allow for regular sound for normal viewing and I just put on my BT headphones for late night TV.Problem was, I found out that most BT transmitters only can pass through PCM or stereo audio even on SPDIF and I want 5.1 AC3 when using normal sound without having to manually switch the audio settings every time I change back and forth. This switch/DAC does the trick. It passes through full AC3 audio on SPDIF, while simultaneously converting the AC3 to PCM stereo on the auxiliary analog output. The Aux goes to my BT transmitter and bingo, it all works. I get AC3 5.1 channel audio on my home theater for normal viewing, I just turn off my home theater and put on my BT headphones for quiet viewing. No changes, no fuss.

Boom! Works GREAT!!!
This solved a Huge Problem of not being able to use headphones after I received a Sony Sound bar for Christmas. It was recommended to me by Customer Support of a different company J Tech Digital after I inquired about a product that they had that I believe would solve the problem. They didn't have a solution, so they recommended this product at a different company. WOW! I can now feed the sound bar from my 2014 Sony TV AND plug in my headphones at the same time. 60 second setup and boom, works perfect. When doing research there were a lot of people in the same predicament. Why soundbars don't have a headset jack is beyond me. This device will solve the problem in a snap! Very pleased with this product and will also consider solutions by J Tech Digital down the road due to their help and great Customer Service in solving a major problem.

Unclear information about phone and RCA stereo analogue outputs
The unit working flawlessly as expected. But I quote a 4 (global) and 1 for volume control for the following reason: My application is to use simultaneously both analogue outputs (phone and stereo) to feed a Harman Kardon receiver and a Phonak ear impair Blue Tooth transmitter. In the provided instruction manual with the unit the following statement is written: “Support 1 Port SPDIF/Toslink output and L/R analog output and one headphone output”. The analogue outputs (phone and RCA) cannot be functional simultaneously. If the phone output is used, there is no signal present at the RCA stereo output and inversely: If the RCA stereo outputs are used, no signal at the phone output. This particularity should be mention in the product description in Amazon site.

Works a treat. Happy customer
Delivery to Australia took less than 2 weeks from the time of order ..... excellent! The decoder was easy to set up and works brilliantly with my new 2022 Hisense TV, model 50A6HAU. I fitted RCA plugs to the decoder's outlet side with the other end of the lead connected to my 50 year old Sony TA5650 amplifier. The sound is controlled from the amplifier, not the TV. No popping or crackling, just nice clear sound. The TV was set to the following setting ..... menu, settings, sound, speakers, audio output, SPDIF. An audio cable was included with the purchase, a nice touch. Tip ..... don't forget to remove the clear plastic plugs from both ends of the audio cable before plugging them in. PS: Australian purchasers need to remember that the electrical plug provided is for USA sockets. You'll need to purchase a 5v DC adaptor to suit Australian sockets. Available either online or from your local electronics store, Jaycar etc.

Removes the need for a splitter.
The three optical inputs were two more than I needed but, you never know, I may wish to add a game machine to my system in the future. I previously had a converter with no optical pass-through so I bought an optical splitter to allow connection to my Bose sound bar. When I tried to watch something on the Prime app on my TV, the only sound I would get out of any program I chose was a loud buzzing noise. This new converter solved that problem too!

The optical interface works as promised
I have connected multiple optical inputs and can easily switch between them based on the output I want.
