A fantastic Dutch oven for the price, and perfect for sourdough baking!
The media could not be loaded. I've been on the lookout for a new cast iron Dutch oven ever since my trusty old one, which I had for over a decade, sadly broke during a house move. Having gone without one for a while, I recently got into baking sourdough bread and realised it was the perfect excuse to buy a new one. After countless hours of researching the ideal size, coating, and colour, I decided on this Overmont 6.6L enamelled cast iron Dutch oven, specifically because I wanted a larger capacity for baking bigger loaves, and I’m so glad I did!At first, I was sceptical since I'd never heard of Overmont before, but everything about this oven won me over. The size is absolutely perfect for large sourdough loaves, casseroles, and hearty stews. The enamelled coating is not only beautiful, but incredibly practical. The bright orange finish was exactly as shown in the photos, vibrant and eye-catching, which I was thrilled about since you often don’t get that level of accuracy when ordering online. One of the things that stood out immediately was how well-made this Dutch oven is. The moment I lifted the box, I could feel its solid build. It is heavy, just like you’d expect from quality cast iron, and feels durable enough to last a lifetime. I was particularly drawn to its ability to handle high heat both on the hob and in the oven, which makes it perfect for searing meats or getting that amazing crust on a sourdough loaf.In terms of performance, this Dutch oven doesn’t disappoint. It heats up quickly and retains the heat exceptionally well, which is crucial for baking. I’ve baked a few loaves of sourdough in it already, and each one has turned out with a beautifully crisp crust and soft, airy interior. It also works wonders for slow-cooked dishes like casseroles and stews, locking in moisture and flavour thanks to its tight-fitting lid.The delivery was fast, and the packaging was impressive. Everything arrived in pristine condition, including some lovely extras like the cotton potholders, which have already come in handy. I only paid £50.49, which feels like an absolute steal for the quality you get. It is comparable to high-end brands but at a fraction of the cost.If you're after a Dutch oven for baking or slow-cooking, this one is definitely worth considering. It is fantastic value for money, built to last, and performs like a dream. I’m thrilled with my purchase and would highly recommend it to both first-time buyers and those looking to upgrade.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Top quality item, worth every penny.
I love everything about this casserole dish, having never had a cast iron one before. I chose this one, because it is enameled lined, with a self basting lid.The colour I chose is I would say is teal, rather than sea green. I love teal! I made sure I read all the care instructions, because when you buy something like this, you want it to last, and by just avoiding certain things, like maybe putting it in cold water while it is still hot, or not washing and drying thoroughly, can lead to rust around the bare edges on the rim and lid. I wiped a tiny amount of avocado oil around the dish and lid edges to protect it. It came with a small recipe book. Also, cute little pads for moving it, when the handles are hot, and a silicon mat. My Polish friend taught me to cook Rosol, on the stove top uncovered, which was my first use of it, and as the heat distribution ensured the long slow cooking, essential for this meal, it was a complete success. It is heavy, even when empty, so check you will be able to manage it, All in all, one of my best ever purchases. Being able to start cooking on the stove, then transfer to the oven too, is very useful. It goes without saying that looked after, it will be durable and a great addition to any kitchen.

Absolutely Blown Away
I ordered the 6.6L Dutch oven in white and never thought I'd be this happy with it...If you're looking for a Dutch oven? Look no further and get this one with confidence... Absolutely beautiful quality.I'm going to use this, not just for sourdough bread, but soups, stews, prepping cabbage for sauerkraut and so much more...It's heavy, so I just know that it'll probably outlive me and become a family heirloom... Well worth the money and it'll be used well.

Well made and solid.
A heavy cast iron casserole dish/dutch oven lined with enamel. I bought this to use as a dutch oven for sourdough loaves and it works very well as it has a tight fitting lid. It’s a large capacity and will hold a good sized loaf. Heats up fairly quickly and retains the heat. The red colour is attractive, and having used it several times for meat casseroles and on maximum oven heat (250 deg C) for bread, it has remained stain free inside and out.

Looks good but be aware it is posted in a box with illustrations of the item on it.
Unfortunately this ended up being a very early Christmas present as partner could see what was in the box when collecting.Pot itself looks sturdy, look forward to trying it out.

VERY heavy!
Bought this for my sister as she’d been wanting a cast iron casserole for some time. Delivery was fast, it was well packaged and she LOVES it!However, the 6.6l I bought is very very heavy, and that’s without food in it. If you struggle with wrist/hand mobility in your joints, this is not for you.She loves the hob to oven design and really appreciated the little pot holders supplied to protect from the heat - and the little recipe book too.Holds heat pretty well - better than a standard cooking pot. Very impressed.Functionality 5/5Versatility 5/5Ease of use 3/5 (very heavy)Storage 3/5 (big cupboards needed!)

Stunning design!
The media could not be loaded. Just received my pot today and am so pleased with it. Such a beautiful red and a real solid cast iron feel to it, great size and quite weighty which adds to its quality. I have not used it yet, but look forward to many years of cooking with it, definitely feels sturdy and built to last.

Stylish, Durable, and Perfect for Everyday Cooking
This Dutch oven is hands down the most versatile piece of kitchen equipment I own. It’s incredibly solid, with excellent quality and a nice, sturdy lid with a handle that’s comfortable to grip. The size is perfect for cooking for my family of three, and it cleans up easily, which is a big plus. On top of all that, it looks so good that I just leave it out on the stove. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to invest in a quality piece that’s both functional and stylish!

Pretty, sturdy, and works great!
Beautiful pot! I bought the 4.5 qt in a turquoise color so it would match other décor in my kitchen (I plan to leave it out). It is honestly larger than I need for the two of us, but will come in handy for when we have family or guests. The 4.5 would be perfect for 4-6 people. It arrived well-wrapped in sturdy packaging, with no damage. Also included was a little cookbook, small pot holders that wrap the handles, a sponge, care instructions, & silicone hot plate (nice touch). I have now cooked soup/stews with it three or four times. After allowing it time to heat properly with oil in the bottom, it held heat well and performed great. It has a nice wide bottom for more contact with the diced veggies while they are softening. It also cleaned up very nicely. I used a pliable plastic pot scraper to gently remove the stuck-on bits, let it sit wet for a just few minutes, then cleaned it with a sponge. Not hard or time consuming at all. It is of course heavy, which was new for me, but turns out I like that. Cooking in it is fun and feels somehow elevated.

Bardzo dobra jakość
Dobre wykonanie, przyjemny kolor. Działa z indukcją, tylko trzeba pilnować żeby nie grzać na kuchni bez oleju lub wody. W tej cenie naprawdę warto jeśli ktoś szuka takiego naczynia.
