Great tool for mudding
This baby was my constant friend as I was taping and mudding drywall while remodeling a 1950s kitchen. It is so much easier to work on a hawk than to try to use drywall mud out of a pan. I highly recommend this tool. And you cannot beat the price!

Bought this last month to help me with my daughters powder room redo. Work great ,easy padded handle made it easy to hold and work with for the couple hours of mudding I did.

Plaster holder.
This plaster holder seems like decent quality. The main base is pretty scratched up though, not a huge deal I was just surprised since this is new. I have not used this style, but I think it should work well. Overall, I am happy with this plaster holder.

Comfortable (for large hands) Rubber Handle, Lightweight!
This Drywall Hawk is standard size, has circular grooves in the top and is lightweight. The hawk has a comfortable rubber handle that has an indention at the top and is wider at the bottom. My large hands are comfortable using this hawk. The width may cause smaller hands to not be comfortable or able to fully grip the handle. The rubber handle does not get slick when water and mud get on it (and they will). Previously the hawks had wooden handles that were a pain to work with due to moisture causing slickness.I do recommend the purchase of this hawk but caution anyone with smaller hands that the handle may be a strain for them.Manufacturer: A perfect model hawk would have two or three different handle sizes that ship with the hawk to accommodate any size hand.I will soon be using this hawk for several weeks instead of just testing. If any problems occur, I will update this review.
