Good but overpriced.
It’s nice, we all had a dram and no one was really blown away. A very ‘it’s nice’/ ‘can’t object to that’ I’d say as good as the American Oak that retails for £20. Not worth the extra in my opinion. If you’re going to pay the £35 on offer or the ridiculous £50 rrp there are whiskies with much more depth and quality for that price.

Nice spice
An average Malt. It’s not a malt I’d buy again. If you are a fan of Highland Park 12 then you will love this whisky. It has a very subtle peat taste which isn’t too over powering. The whisky is quite a spicy one which was the thing I liked most about this whisky. The ginger brings out a lovely spice to the taste. I didn’t taste any chocolate as per the tasting notes which is really unfortunate because I think that would have made this whisky something special.Aberlour Abundha has a great dark chocolate taste and is my favourite whisky of all time. so After Reading the tasting notes for this one I was looking forward to trying this whisky but was a little let down.I think those who like Highland Park 12 or Johnny walker black will love this whisky. It is a great whisky just not one I will personally be buying again.

Highland Park 12 + Auchentoshan Three Wood = One beautiful whisky
If Highland park 12 and Auchentoshan three wood were combined in the perfect way, this would be it. For £35 it's a great whisky and I've ordered another bottle to stash away.Initially when I nosed the whisky I was suspicious, it was like caramel with sour notes. It has that distinct Auchentoshan smell too, which is very pleasant. The flavour is as I, and other reviewers have said, like Highland park 12. Sweet, nuanced, hints of smoke and peat. The sweetness though, too me tasted a lot like Auchentoshan three wood, my suspicion being that they used many of the same line of bourbon and sherry casks as three wood. Also where many whiskies are either to heavy and rich, others too light, this was just right. And the price of £35 was just right too.

Gorgeous but no three wood
Massive fan of the three wood so thought I would start to purchase some auchentoshan that cost abit more. This whisky is nice and has the distillery character. But my personal taste is that the three wood is much better. But this is only my opinion its not a bad whisky at all. I love all auchentoshan, that distillery character they have is lovely. And this drink is lovely. Very strong taste. Good night to be had with your friends. Just three woods nosing and taste do more for me.

A good start point for the Auchentoshan range
This is a good average malt at a good price. It is a good introduction to the Auchentoshan range.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07561BFQ2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11
