Beautiful little trees
We love these battery powered trees. They do only offer solid lights, flashing or off. A multi mode light offering would be nice. We do love twinkle settings. We got these to decorate the gravesites of departed loved ones. We added additional decorations to personalize each one. Very nice, and they held up well. We will use them again next year.

Cute tree
They are cute little trees, easy to form, full enough, but could be better. The greenery is a little shiny, so not like a real tree. The pine cones and berries look really good, only 1 berry fell off while I was trying to arrange the branches. I think overpriced, but serves my purpose.

Yes -- It has a auto-on mode and timer!
When you unpack this tree, there is nothing (that I saw) to explain EXACTLY how the lights work. You install the batteries in the box and there is a push-switch that notes: TIMER > ON > OFF. My assumption was that this was a "manual on" and some hours later, an automatic "off." That's what I did: I walked outside on day one and turned on the lights and sure enough the lights were off the next morning. The next day, I went out, pushed the button to turn on the lights, but the next morning, the lights were still on. What??? Bad timer, maybe? NO!!! The tree actually has a dusk "auto-on" when it is in timer mode. What I was doing -- on day two -- by manually clicking the switch one time, was placing the lights in "on" mode. So....here's what needs to happen: as the sun goes down, cycle the switch until the lights go "off." Then push the switch one more time to put it in "TIMER" mode -- and walk away. The lights will come on automatically at dusk and go off 6 hours later. I was not expecting the tree to have a light-sensitive "on" switch but it does.

Not bad
Not terrible, not great. Certainly don't look as good or as tall as in the pictures. That said, the tree was easy to fluff. They could use a few more lights. I wanted them for in front of our garage since the garage faces the road. I don't know how to upload pictures. A little pricey for what you get, but I saw some in local stores that cost more and weren't pre-lit. Would have considered buying more if they were less expensive.

They turn on and off themselves!
They look exactly like they do in the picture, AND they DO turn on at dusk, and off after 6 hours - by themselves. Fantastic, exactly what I wanted! Update: I LOVED these - perfect, exactly what I wanted. Just put in batteries, pushed the On button once, and voila! - They turned on by themselves, and turned off after 6 hours. But after 2 or 3 weeks, they just randomly stopped turning on. They do still turn off automatically after 6 hours, which is nice. 2nd Update: No, the DO still turn on by themselves, it's just full dark rather than dusk like my other timered items. (Maybe took a couple days to reset after a battery change?) Not sure if the timer has a light sensor or goes off the time you turn them on. These really are perfect, and especially for the money. As for the other reviews, about the battery case - I've not had that problem. You WANT the case to seal tightly because it keeps out the water from the weather. I'm sure you could put a drop or two of cooking oil (any kind) on your finger and lubricate the seal a little and that would help.

Buyer Beware
The picture of the two Christmas trees with lights looked great and sounded like the perfect set up to display on our front steps. However, the trees were made poorly. Even after "fluffing up" the bent branches to assume a somewhat tree-like formation, they were poorly made and way more sparse in appearance from the photo attached to the product. I didn't even bother taking a photo of these trees, as I packed them up to be returned. Please don't waste your money on these!

Not worth the money - pass on this.
I was excited to get these little pathway trees but they are not great. They are VERY thin even after fluffing and the lights aren't bright at all... From the street, maybe 40' away, you can barely see the lights. I bought a taller, fuller 3' tree (these a 24") from a mass retailer that starts with a T for $10 and a $5 battery power light string. It's much better, bright, and cheaper, i.e. half the price! These are not worth the money.
