Fits and works like OEM
Like Hayden products, some are made in China, some Mexico, but they do a decent job of quality control (think China, the Mexi stuff is usually of good quality). Anyway, so far, the clutch works as one should, coming on strong once it gets hot. Time will tell, but so far, meets expectations.

Keeping the Jeep cool
Installed on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) with a 4.0L I6. The Jeep had the clutch deleted by the previous owner and electric fans installed. I removed all the old components and installed this clutch with blades I found at a salvage yard. Works fantastic, not loud, keeps the Jeep cooler than the electric fans did!

fan clutch seems to be good quality, but hits radiator shroud
The fan clutch itself seems to be very good, especially for the price. However, I had problems (and still) do reinstalling the fan shroud on my 1996 Jeep XJ. The fan blades now hit the shroud. It seems like the Hayden clutch is slightly longer than the Mopar clutch. I have tried spacers and everything else, but it is still hitting the fan shroud. After reading some info from the web, it is desired to have the fan blades midway between the inside and outside of the fan shroud. With the Hayden I am only about a third of the distance from the front of the shroud, which is where the rubbing is occurring. I tried with a new mopar and a new third party fan shroud and both have the same problems. Pictures of the Mopar clutch look a lot different than the Hayden. I wish I had keep my old one for comparison. Something is amiss.

TJ clutch fan, no binding, works well.
This item worked as described and fit my 2002 Wrangler TJ. It was an excellent value for this price point despite not being the most fancy looking clutch fan. It is made in China, but the price point should tell you that. It would cost 5x more if it were made here and would probably break twice as fast.

This is the proper XJ fan clutch
Installed 2 weeks ago on my 93 XJ Cherokee 4.0. I have done extensive work to this jeep and its cooling system including new radiator, multiple detergent flushes to descale, and a new thermostat. When the summer heat continued to overheat my Jeep in the city stop and go I bought a new fan clutch (pictured right) from Autozone. While it did work, it worked too well. Appears to be a heavy duty one or perhaps a Grand Cherokee ZJ fan clutch, so it constantly roared like a hurricane everywhere I drove even below freezing temps. Bought the Hayden fan clutch (pictured left installed on my fan) and it completely solved my issues. Jeep runs fantastically quiet now, always holds proper temp (190F, never gets close to halfway), and my fuel economy improved drastically. The previous fan clutch caused me to get roughly 10-13mpg in the city, where the new one got me back to 17-20.

Worth the money
Good product helped with cooling for sure but unsure how much as my overheating issue was caused by something else. My thought is why not upgrade to avoid any sort of overheating in the future as well. Easy install but remember to break the bolts before loosening the belt.

Heat problem
Its a good product to change your broken one but if you’re taking it to fix a heat problem it will not help that much

Seems like a quality part.
Fit perfectly. I hope it lasts. Price was right.
