Really, really as good as they say. Not cheap, but if you are after quality, they are worth it
I have been through a few earbuds. Had Bose Quietcomfort 2, Sony WF 1000XM5 and tried them Technics AZ80. In the end I settled on AZ100, and they are the best in my opinion. My thoughts on each:Bose Quietcomfort 2 - the noise cancelling is amazing, way best of all earbuds. They are comfortable and pleasant on the ear, but sound is average. It is warm and bassy, but lacks detail. Pleasant though. Lack wireless charging.Technics AZ80 - almost very good, sound decent and are comfortable, high quality materials and finish, but still lack some detail. Good, but not the bestSony WF 1000XM5 - those were almost my favorite sound wise, the most detailed, could hear tiny little sounds in the background. Bass sounded a bit artificial though, and they had issues with connectivity. During the day would drop signal for split second many times a day (probably due to the fact I carry 2 phones, incl company one) I found it too annoying.Technics AZ100 - clear winners for me. Sound is great, maybe not quite as detailed as Sony, but a lot juicier and powerful and spacious. They are not cheap, but worth the price in my opinion. Just wish the built quality was as nice as AZ80. But love them

Excellent, premium product, fairly priced.
Lightweight, very comfortable and secure fit. Well thought out useful features and app.ANC is excellent, as is the ambient mode.I listen to a lot of music all day via Tidal and my own FLAC files, the sound is highly enjoyable and engaging, its a big sound that wraps around my head, big but clear and well defined bass, they are enormous fun to listen with.LDAC connection stability is solid.I also have the B&W Pi8, Sony wf-xm5, Final ze8000 and have a collection of wired IEMs that cost more than all of these buds, I mention this so you know this is not my first exposure to great sound. The Pi8 and az100 are by far my favourite.

A Symphony of Perfection!
I recently got my hands on the new Technics earbuds, and let me tell you – they are nothing short of extraordinary. If you’re in search of the best earbuds on the market, look no further. These are in a league of their own.First, let’s talk about sound quality. It’s pure magic. The audio is so crisp and detailed that every note feels alive. The bass is deep and punchy without being overpowering, mids are warm and balanced, and the highs are crystal clear without any hint of distortion. Whether I’m listening to a symphony, a podcast, or a bass-heavy track, these earbuds deliver a flawless experience. It’s like having a personal concert in your ears. The noise cancellation? Unreal. Technics didn’t just block out background noise; they made the outside world disappear. You’ll feel fully immersed, no matter where you are – on a noisy train, at a bustling café, or in a crowded gym. At the same time, the ambient mode is equally impressive, giving you full control when you need to stay aware of your surroundings.Comfort and design are also top-notch. The sleek, modern look is paired with an ergonomic fit that feels secure yet incredibly comfortable. I’ve worn them for hours without even noticing they’re in my ears. The battery life is equally unbeatable – it lasts all day, and the charging case is compact but powerful.Technics has raised the bar for what wireless earbuds can do. They’re not just earbuds; they’re a masterpiece. Whether you’re an audiophile, a casual listener, or just someone who demands the best, these will blow your expectations out of the water. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect earbuds, the wait is over. 10/10 – worth every penny. Step aside Apple and Bose, we have a new boss in town!

Love the comfort and sound, but problems with replacement ear tips
Wonderful ear buds: sound, fit and comfort is great, and a delight after a series of disappointing high end comparisons. Comfort is very important to me: Sony’s flagship buds are great as far as pure sound is concerned, but fit, ease of handling etc are a disaster for me.My ONLY criticism, but a serious one, is that I’m finding literally IMPOSSIBLE to purchase Technics replacement eartips. The nozzles of these buds are unusually designed, presumably for a purpose. So wanting to buy tips with compatible nozzles seems reasonable, especially as they are so comfortable. But online searches draw a blank, and Technics support doesn’t seem to know its ears from its other parts: they say they are not for sale, or they say they are available from technics suppliers but couldn’t suggest which ones might stock them, and I can’t locate one: they tell me they’ll send me some, but they never arrive! The rubber/silicone ear tips are perfect for me (I find foam incredibly uncomfortable). Imagine a car designer creating a specific feature on a car, but then effectively making spare parts unavailable!Crazy!!Sound, features and comfort are 5 stars: but customer service and support for after care are zero.

Not half bad these buds.
These are amazing earbuds. I have never had an "expensive" pair of buds before and never really thought they would be worth it, but I was wrong. The sound quality from these buds is amazing, I can hear individual instruments clearly for the first time in "ever" really. The noise cancelling is excellent, I can listen to tunes in a busy supermarket and it blocks EVERYTHING from outside. The transparency mode works well but mostly at lower sound levels, playing music on high and 80% transparency, I can mostly just hear the music but voices came through pretty well.Used the buds for calls while out walking and the quality is ok ish...I could hear the other person fine but the person who I was talking to could barely hear me and I had to end the call because of this and call back when I was somewhere quieter. The fit is decent and doesn't hurt my ears after being in for hours. You get loads of different size buds so should be good for most ear sizes. The case is light, small and pretty sleek with a metal finish, and will easily fit in a pocket or purse. All in all a decent set of buds.
