Works very well if used correctly
After reading the reviews on this tape, I was cautiously optimistic and I wasn’t disappointed.I used it to mask the window recesses on a camper van for spray painting (see photos) and was able to do a successful job.The masking tape gave a good edge and there was no bleed under the edges of the tape, HOWEVER, when first applying the masking tape to the van, there were several areas of the van bodywork where the tape simply refused to stick. At first I thought I was going to have to use a different type of tape, but I tried a good quality spray degreaser on these areas and had another try and then the tape stuck very well. Clearly it’s really important that the surface you are sticking this tape to is completely free of any form of greace or oils, I thought the surfaces were already clean, but they needed to be squeaky-clean.I was amazed at how far it went. In the photos, I used two layers of it, and I’ve already done the other side of the van as well. Out of the three rolls included in the box, I still have over 1.5 rolls left! The photos also demonstrate how far the polythene unravels from the taped edge.My only real complaint is that the little teeth on the cutter are a bit bendy and easy to damage, so by the time I was on the second roll, it was no longer getting a nice clean cut across the polythene.I was able to rectify this slightly by re-bending the teeth straight with a pair of pliers. Also there was a slight issue with the teeth chewing small holes in the polythene as you unravelled it if you didn’t pull it out of the dispenser at the right angle, but that was more down to operator error, but something to be aware of.Ordinarily, I use the green frog tape for tasks like this, but I may find myself switching over to using this more often as the attached polythene sheet makes it really handy. The tape itself is not as wide as I would have liked. Bearing in mind that half the tape is taken up with the polythene, it’s actually quite a small surface area to grip onto whatever it is you are masking. In an ideal world, if they made a version of this tape but with the actual masking tape at double the current width, it would be an almost perfect product.Overall though, very happy with this product and would highly recommend it.

Great stuff but...
Used for masking off prior to paint spraying hotel rooms. Overall its good stuff to use the only downfall is the dispensers serrated blade to used to cut the tape off, very fiddly to use. I find it easier to cut it with a sharp pair of scissors.

Makes prepping a lot quicker, +1 for an easy life.
It felt a bit opulent to be splashing cash on what might be such a frivolous bit of organisational kit but I'm glad I did now. Normally we'd use a cheap polythene dust sheet (or strips of empty cardboard shipping boxes from a certain well known online delivery company!) and miles of masking tape to prep before painting. With this contraption it literally cut the masking-up time down to the same time it would normally just take to reel some of the tape off. The plastic sheeting is deceptively wide as the width is folded up. The tape is pre-applied and is strong enough to stick well to even standard concrete gravel boards in the garden, which we did before we sprayed our fence with wood preserver as we assumed the biocidal nature of the spray wouldn't exactly by kind to garden. I've no idea how long it will take us to get through all three rolls on this package as it feels like we've barely touched the one first roll so far. Well worth splashing out on if you want a bit of an easier DIY life I'd say. I'm a convert and I don't think I'll go back to doing it any other way.

Better than expected, great quality product
Ordered these to cover over windows and doors whilst painting the exterior of our house and they was a great for the beginning, middle and end of the job.Easier to apply than anticipated, not fiddly at all. Used in summer months on mild and dry days - great adhesion to PVC frame/edges, stayed put for over 2-3 days and did not rip or tear in the wind/elements or during the duration of work. When removed no sticky residue or marks left on any surfaces and scrunched up small for easy disposal.Great coverage, still have some product left over and when I run out/need more in future I will be sure to order again!

Not suitable for sprayer overspray unless doubled in width
Worked well although the film is folded in a way which is not as easy to unfurl as it should be.

If handles with moderate care does the job.
Like that the dispenser is easy to use and so makes the sheeting easy to use. The cutting edge is not particularly good. Alright cutting the masking tape but found it difficult to get a reasonably clean cut on the polythene and so found it easier to use scissors to cut off a length. If care is not taken it is easy to split the polythene. Not a major issue for me as I simply put a bit of broad masking tape over any splits. Another point worth mentioning is that it is better to stick the masking tape down as you go. Otherwise there is a tendency for the masking tape to stick to the polythene and for the polythene to tear when you try to detach it.Overall I would recommend it as a cheap way of masking large areas quickly.
