Great knife overall, own 2 of these. Managed to break the pocket clip on one, figured it's SOG, should be a non-issue. Called them 7 months ago to request a warranty replacement, and was asked to pay $5 for shipping. No problem, paid. Shipping states 2-4 weeks.About 3 months ago called again to see what is going on, apparently " the replacement order was not captured correctly, but we have it in stock", so they promised to correct and ship out.Another 3 months later (July 26th, 2022) called again, waited 35 minutes on hold, the representative asked me to hold to check with "corporate", 10 minutes in she came back to tell me to check my email for updates in "a day or two" and if I do not see anything to call back (REALLY?!?!?). As I have absolutely nothing else to do and have a deep passion for waiting on hold with companies who really do not care about their reputation or customers (NOT). I simply asked to get my $5 back, and guess what: it will 21 to 30 BUSINESS DAYS(!!!) to issue a refund. Let me translate that: that is a maximum of a month and a half in human years.Asked to speak with a supervisor (April), expressed my displeasure and complete lack of confidence in company's ability to stand by their product (it is gsm outdoors now, they purchased sog). Now the order should ship soon (since now there is stock).So review breakdown:knife - 4 stars (clip broke, and was not abused), otherwise a great toolwarranty - 0 stars (due to processes, people and a complete lack of communication)April (supervisor I spoke with on July 26th, 2022) - 5 stars, she is an absolute rockstar for managing the situation the way she did

I've only had this blade for a month, but I can already say that this pocket knife offers great performance and quality, especially for the price. The blade opening and closing mechanics are extremely fast and smooth (and ambidextrous), plus I like knowing the blade is made of quality VG10 steel, which if it's anything like the $400 VG10 cutlery set I have in my kitchen, will retain its edge very will into the future - and what an edge it is! Out of the box, it effortlessly slices through paper and arrives sharper than even my Spyderco PM2 arrived. I also like that it includes a deep-carry clip. The knife is extremely pocketable and discreet, especially given the generous blade size. IMHO, If you compare this to the Benchmade 940 that costs nearly twice as much, you're getting much more for your money with this blade, and for those that prefer a USA made blade, you can check that box off as well.I know SOG isn't associated with the same premium level of knife as Spyderco, Kabar, Benchmade, etc, but this is a truly premium quality knife that competes favorably with many knives that cost considerably more.

Pricey knife. I waited a long time to buy this one because of the price. When it came down I bought it. It is smooth opening and closing. Also the quietest opening knife I own. The edges of the plastic scales are sharp. They needed some sanding but the blade itself is sharp and centered. I like it!

I Love this knife. If I were able to grow hair on my legs, this knife could shave them. The knife blade itself is some kind of really tough metal that stays sharp for a long time, (it might be some kind of weird SPACE METAL?). I love the SOG line of knives, but this is my absolute favorite.

Awesome knife, feels great in the hand. It can easily be opened with either hand and with gloves worn. The opening and closing action of this knife is very smooth and can be done one handed. The only down side is the pocket clip can get a little wiggle to it over time, but that can be easily fixed by tightning it down. I use this knife as my EDC and it works great.

Nice knife swings out beautiful I have a number of knifes did not expect the tip to break off easily as it did .

Basically the same knife as the now discontinued Spec Elite I. VG-10 Steel, buttery smooth action, made in Seki, Japan.
