Ok first off... they say in the instructions that this needs to be aired out for 72 hours. Please take note of that because it is absolutely true. After unboxed this takes some time to off gas I let mine do it for 4 days with ample air circulation in my office. After that, all smells are gone and it has been great! We added this on top of a 3-inch memory foam had on our king bed and it is turned into a 5 star hotel bed. The pillow top is nice and comforting however not too much such that when you lay down you feel overwhelmed by squishiness or sinking. Definitely five stars on my end but don't dare rush the process or otherwise you will be quite upset.

EDITED-UPDATE:Well, I had to remove 4 stars - here is why -I slept great for a few nights, then the egg crate topper became something I call “I wish you would forget me foam” it became so sunken in, I had to get out of bed after not getting comfortable in bed and being awake for 2 hours and rip that egg crate pad off the bed, remake it. I was then awake for an additional two hours to calm down my frustration to be in a state to sleep.THE ONLY GOOD PART about this topper combo is the mattress pad topper - that hasn’t deformed, it is comfy and fits my bed very well.IMHO: not worth the price! Should woulda coulda not gotten this - don’t make my mistake - buy something else. I have an 8 inch mattress and was looking for something that would not only add cushiony feel, but to also support my body as I sleep. I switch between back sleeping and side sleeping and the support of the egg crate first layer of this Mattress topper combo is just right. I just put it on over my other 4 inch memory foam topper and between the two, I not only have a higher mattress, but cloud like comfort.Well worth the money for me!Highly recommend

I slept on waterbeds my whole life because my hips hurt. I've never slept on a regular mattress that did not hurt my hips. My waterbed gave out, and I'm on a mission to make a standard mattress comfortable enough for me to sleep on without my hips hurting.With a combination of toppers, I found this to be possible! I have a memory foam topper underneath this egg crate topper. The combination is divine. I look forward to going to bed and I dread getting out of it. Laying in bed is amazing now. So comfy.
