Again, in a side by side comparison on flavor, Trader Joe's came out on top. BUT, once I started using this, I realized it is really good too and for the price a much better value for my money. I did see another brand on the shelf at Walmart and tried it....worst of the three, imo.Also, these guys have changed their packaging and it is now double sealed, plastic around the outside, freshness covering inside.Update: Contacted the company after they reached out to me and was issued a full refund so I could repurchase! So, A+ for customer service and bringing my review to a 3 star. I did reorder their product and will update again in a couple of days.Update2: Received new item. Better, but not perfectly sealed. Fresher. Still prefer Trader Joe's stronger flavors.Sealed for Freshness seal was off, meaning not affixed to plastic jar but instead stuck inside the lid. I decided the product was probably not tampered with, so I put it on avocado toast to test it out. Definitely had a stale-ish taste. Also, thinking Wishful Seasoning would replace Trader Joe's is wishful thinking....I felt the reviews out there were 50/50 just as good vs not as good so I wanted to test for myself. IF I'd tried this first and it was super fresh, I might have been okay with it, but in a side by side, no comparison.

All in all, a delicious seasoning. I have tried it on eggs, on simple avocado toast and in a brine for homemade pickles. As you would expect, it is reminiscent of Everything bagels - lots of nice onion and garlic and sesame seeds (which give a nice crunch). The poppy seeds give it hint of almost licorice-like taste that is unexpected but very good.I appreciate that this seasoning, while salted (no salt version available) is not overly salty. You can add more or less of it to your food, but it wont over-salt it. Of course for some things i added a touch of salt to taste, but i would rather have that than have too much and be stuck (Tony Chachere - I'm looking at you!).I can imagine this is also delicious on buttered noodles or on garlic toast. Would also try searing a tuna steak with it (vs just sesame seeds).Overall i am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again.

Flavor is great with this. Not sure what I was expecting but it is just so crunchy that when I bite down it feels like there's something hard in my mouth. Other brands that I've tried have maybe been more ground up? Not sure what the difference here is but I definitely notice a prevalent texture that I did not notice with other brands. Flavor is strong and delicious here though. Giving 4 starts for flavor because if you put it on bread the texture thing isn't quite as much of an issue.

This was an accident, I meant to buy the salt free version but somehow I got the regular one. Luckily, it's not salty! I was looking for something to replace the whole foods brand everything seasoning, which has giant chunks of salt in it. Makes a bagel dang near inedible. This one doesn't have any granules of salt, it must just be lightly sprinkled with powdered salt before bottling. No discernible salty taste at all. Perfect!

I bought this to make with cottage cheese and salmon, but it tastes very good so I use it on salads and other food as well. I am always looking for different flavors without adding more calories. I like this product.
