Did the job after using the two bottles

Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought to deter my cat from scratching the staircarpet instead of his scratching posts. Seems to work when sprayed down the carpet and my cat wasn't happy to use it for scratching. Only difficulty i had when using it was that the Sprayer on the top was sluggish in raising after being sprayed, which was irritating and too time consuming. I transferred the liquid into another spray container and it is now working much better

I have knocked off 2 stars because the spray bottles jam when depressed and you have to jiggle the top to get it to come up so you can spray again. I thought at first it was just one bottle and I was just unlucky to get a faulty one, but they are both the same. This is obviously a design fault and the company would be wise to address it because as I will have to decant them into another spray bottle when I have one to spare I will think twice before purchasing again.The cat is put off if I spray when he’s nearby and now simply shaking the bottle in front of him is enough to put him off. The smell is not strong and unpleasant to me so that would not put me off buying again, just the useless spray bottles. They are value for money as you get two, but due to the badly functioning bottles I would hesitate in purchasing again.

Both bottles the spray function doesn’t work

One of our cats has taken to marking in our hallway and stopping him from continuing to do so is an ongoing task. This spray seems to be helping, he’s definitely not a fan of the scent and it keeps him away from the area for a few hours but if you’re using it for a similar reason, it won’t work on its own without making sure that any scent of urine is removed as effectively as possible and breaking the cat’s bad habit isn’t going to happen overnight.I’ve no idea what it smells like to my cats, but to my nose it has a sort of spicy citrusy/citronella scent that isn’t at all unpleasant or chemical-smelling.So far, a spray of the area first thing in the morning, early evening and before bed seems to be encouraging the offending cat to mostly use one of the litter boxes rather than the carpet which is helping with the amount of time I or my partner spend scrubbing the carpet.It’s not a miracle fix but I didn’t expect it to be and it’s reasonably priced so I’m happy to give it 5 stars.

Adopted 1 year old cat. New sofa last year. Started to scratch another sofa. Sprayed on and touch wood she has stopped scratching the furniture.
