the phone works great, had it for a long time now, the only issues are, 1. Make sure there's no apps running without you knowing it when you boot it up. And 2. Can't just delete photos without allowing Google access to your photos so you have to take the card out and load them on your PC then delete pictures which is a real pain.

CHRONIC PROBLEMS WITH CHARGING PORT
This is my second of the Dura Force Pro phones. I loved my first one. I dropped it down a flight of stairs. It survived the washing machine. I dropped it in puddles. It was invincible! That is until about it's one year anniversary when the charging port got wonky. Some days it would charge normally. Some days the phone would tell me it was charging slowly because I wasn't using the charger it came with (I was) until finally it stopped charging all together.Thinking it was a fluke, I declared myself free from my carrier's payment plans and bought the same phone through Amazon. I purchased it on July 3rd, 2019. Three days ago I got the first "slow charging" message, conveniently just past the 90 day warranty. I purchased a flat wireless charger thinking if I didn't have to plug it in via the charge port it would work. Nope, still getting the slow charge message and now the charger the phone came with will not work at all. Giving it a one star for durability as there is no point in having an indestructible phone you can't charge.

Issues with charging use and cold weather
I purchased this phone so I wouldn't have to worry about it on my farm. It works fine in the summer. If it's maybe 40 degrees outside I can't keep it warm enough to use. It's on, it just doesn't register anything I'm doing on the screen. No photos, no videos unless I bring it in the house and warm it up. I've kept in a pocket inside my coat, warm next to me, still doesn't work. Maybe my hands are chilled. Not sure but it doesn't have to be that cold out. Defeats the purpose of having a phone to use if I get hurt moving livestock. The phone won't work for most things when it's charging. I have to unplug it to use the fingerprint reader, try to text or type anything, look at email etc. . This is annoying but not a big deal.I'm also looking for a wireless charger. I think the port is wearing out. It's a little picky, this is just due to buying a used phone.Otherwise I like the phone. I've dropped it, no issues. I've splashed water on it, no problem. I really like the phone but this issue with the cold will keep from purchasing another when this one wears out.

Worked great for 18 months
I knew there may be an issue with a refurbished phone, so I am not terribly upset. I bought this in October of 2020 and in January of 2022 the battery needed to be replaced. The phone would sporadically restart. A week later it would only stay on if it was plugged in.I replaced it myself and it worked for three more months and started to malfunction again. It is possible the batterie I replaced it with was not an OEM even though the make and model were the same as the one in the phone which is what I used to find a replacement. This would explain the lag when I would pull up an app or even text. After talking to a cell phone repair shop, I determined I would need an OEM, but they said they did not have any and that Kyocera probably does not make them anymore. They make one that should be compatible but there is no guarantee that the same thing will not happen. While it was working it was a great phone. I use Verizon. I wanted a rugged smart phone but didn't want to pay $900 for one of theirs. Even though I have to get another one, this was still cheaper. Also, it didn't go out suddenly, so I was able to get a new batterie and then a new phone before I was completely out of luck. Also, I liked the fact that I could replace the batterie myself relatively easily. Just needed a small screwdriver. I am only out $20 for the batterie, and it bought me 3 more months.

No frills solid phone
I purchased this phone because my plan on keeping my old phone until the battery was essentially a paper weight worked perfectly. The conversion on verizon was just as simple as moving the SIM card over. Data transfer was almost flawless via the transfer app. One thing to consider is ensure your contacts are backed up to the cloud vs just on your phone, otherwise the "New phone who dis?" will be a part of your life. I have dropped this phone, on the ground, in a hot tub and generally treated it poorly. No issues yet. My only real issues are its slow to load apps, and honestly i will trade that for the fact its cheap, and durable.

Really is water resistant
I bought this because I live near the river. I go fishing hiking camping, even though I have a motorcycle and when it's on the bike I was afraid the rain was going to destroy my phone so I got this one. Dropped it in a 30 gallon trash can full of water at work for about a minute picked it back up and it still working like brand new I've watched it and rinsed it off dealing with flGrease and oil at work and other food products so far I give it a 10 out of a 10.

if its not hot it doesnt work.
it works but that's about it, after three days of use I found out that if I don't keep it warm and in my pocket at all times the numbers on the screen don't function so putting in my pass word is impossible to do and the letters on the screen are not in the right place either, I called the company I got it from and they sent me a shipping label to return it and I tried to explain that it is also my work phone and cant be without it, so I need another one to trade with immediately, I cant wait for three or four days for an amazon truck to get another , told them I would gladly send it back , but oh well , I'm sure they have been ripped off before , so I will just get a new one and call it my loss for now, no more rebuilds.
