Another great light for your collection
Pros- The removal of the highly aggressive strike bezel of the M1X Striker makes it easier to get past security at airports.- Beam profile is more flood than spot which is great for general outdoor use.- Neutral tint improves depth perception in the dark and vegetation shows true colors- Fit and finish is superb as is standard for Olight, feels like a solid slab of granit.- Charging through the tail is amazing. The charger magnetically self centers and clamps onto the back of the light. Need to charge your light while on vacation? No problem, charging cable is no larger than a standard phone charging cable!- JohnArm Store included an excellent Kydex holsterCons- Metal tail cap button is recessed to prevent accidental activation, but this also makes it difficult to depress. The secondary mode which is a harder/deeper press is even harder to do. When you press your thumb into the tail button, light being small it starts to slide out of my grip, the angle is awkward since the button is recessed. I find it easier to use my index finder when using the tail switch.- After a week of not using the light, the fully charged battery was dead. The included Olight nylon holster has a drain plug at the bottom that is reinforced with a metal ring. I believe the metal drain plug ring touched the tail cap button and outer ring, both of which make contact with the charger for charging, so I think that is what caused the battery to drain. The holster is designed for top-up carry, putting the light in head first is very tight. I've switched to using the JohnArm Store kydex holster for now and so far the battery seems okay. I'll put some epoxy on the metal drain plug to insulate it and try the nylon holster again in the future.

Side switch problems
This light is great, I use it 6 nights a week on patrol. The holster is extremely snug, sometimes feels like I'm going to rip the molle off of my vest trying to get it out. The charge is rather slow, I've found that using a vape battery charger is much faster and it lasts the same time as charging with the supplied cable. It's extremely bright for the price, I can shoot across about 2 football fields and see clearly. The strobe has sent a few uncooperative drunks to the ground already. BUT, the side switch has started to act up after 2 weeks of use, it will sporadically go from moonlight, to turbo, or strobe with just one press. This is extremely aggravating when approaching someone and instead of getting a constant low beam, you strobe them in the face...... Will be sending it in for an exchange, if all goes well with customer service then this light will get a 4 star.

Brightest single battery light I can find
I have never been a fan of the 3-5 mode lights because of all the clicking. I like that this light has a memory. It's extremely bright for one battery. Too many other flashlights claim high lumens. This has just over 1500lm. Use it as my EDC. I have it on me around 16hrs a day. I use to buy the 502b single mode lights for their price. Do the math... $100 for a light with a 5yr warranty... or $15 every 6 months for a new flashlight. That's $150 over the same time period. Watch videos on YouTube about this light. The damage it can take is amazing despite olight not overly advertising how tough they are.

Worth it, just one caveat.
The best flashlight I've ever had. Brighter than any flashlight I've ever seen with a phenomenal battery life. The interface is great, the tail switch (despite what some people say) is very easy to use even with gloves on. The one downside (it's a small one) is the fact that the circuit is able to be connected on the magnetic tail cap since that's where it charges. It's very uncommon for it to happen, you can still stick it on metal surfaces and it won't connect it, but I wear a wallet chain and there have been several instances where I was using the flashlight and my wallet chain stuck to it, causing it to strobe and then shut off. It's Also when I wore the kydex holster on my hip on the same side of the wallet chain with the top pointing up, my chain would connect to it and cause it to strobe at random times. I just put the holster on with the top facing down and I've never had it happen since, just be aware of that. It's never done it with anything else but the chain. It's still way better than any flashlight I've ever had and I wouldn't trade it in because of that. Very sturdy, nice healthy weight, and the moonlight mode (1 lumen) is one of the most useful functions I've ever had in a flashlight. I used to have to cover the lens partially with my thumb on other flashlights if I was trying not to wake someone up or mess up my night vision, but the one lumen is absolutely perfect. Additionally all the modes are very easy to access and you can turn on the one lumen without having to cycle down from a brighter mode just by holding it down for a second. If you're looking for a flashlight, get this one. Totally worth the money.

Sleek and Smart
This is very sleek and the controls are very well thought out. The front button works from the thumb like a standard old fashioned light but it also has a rear tactical style control button. I can keep it in strobe mode but still use the non strobe from the front button. You can also cycle thru the intensity settings while the light is on. It will also use any 18650 protected battery. If you use one that is not a high drain type the light will sense that and limit the brightness setting. This light is pretty smart.I can light up and area about 150 yards away but not much farther. The beam is more wide angle than focused. It's a good general working light. High bright is dazzling and can light an area up very well out to about 30 yards. Just incredible for its small size.Comes with two holsters. The Kydex belt holder is great. If you have one and it feels a little loose, soak it in very hot water for about a minute, remove from water and hold it closed until it cools and it will stay put.I am completely satisfied with this light so far. This is my second Olight and I have been using the first one for 10 years with the same 3 AW batteries with no problems so I expect this one will be just as durable or so I hope.
