RST Renegade TRL Fatbike Tapered Fork Remote Lockout Travel 120mm 26"

Just received and installed this fork today. Set the air pressure according to the manual, tested the sag, messed around with the rebound, but couldn't tell the difference between the different settings, so I set it to 10/19 clicks. Rode it 14 miles to test it out (I'm 220 lbs) , and my wrists don't hurt when I hit bumps and potholes anymore on the horrible streets of Corpus Christi TX.My bike is a 2019 Motobecane Nighttrain Titanium hard tail fat bike with a bafang bbshd ebike conversion. When you ride around at 20-30 mph, you need suspension. Even on 26 x 4 tires, even on the street. I wish I had purchased a full suspension bike.I only pedal, and disconnected the throttle cable, and I didn't notice it sapping my power. Didn't try the lockout bc I didn't need to.To install and calibratr, either take to your local bike shop or you'll need a tape measure, pipe cutter, bottom bearing race, bike grease, a shock air pump, a nut for your head tube cap (and an installer if you get a star nut rather than a removable nut) , and Allen wrenches.

The fork is beautiful and it is for a 150mm wide hub like I need. Packaging was nice and part came quickly. If the description says standard than it is not tapered. If only a straight fork is available you can get a reducer/shim or modify the headset or race and convert the bottom of the headset or top of the fork to accept the 1-1/8" straight fork in a tapered frame. I did this and it works great by just adding a shim as pictured above!

So far so good,,,did research before I chose the forks I ordered,,seems the bluto forks have been breaking,,,and are double the cost of these RST,,,so I figured I'd give them a try...I'm happy with my choice,,and Amazon had them to me in a a couple days!!

Its half the price of the Bluto but around 3/4 of a pound heavier. It has stood up to a couple months of abuse with no issues.

This was an awesome upgrade I went from the old original spring fork to this super lightweight air ride what an improvement

I was little concerned if the fork would fit my bike but it was a great fit for my Pedego Trail Tracker fat tire ebike. The instructions were minimal and recommended professional installation but I did the work myself and it went fine.

This is an RST Renegade TRL not a Renegade Air and the system is Coil Spring not Air Spring. The title is correct the description is wrong in four places. Three stars because I don't know how it would have performed because I returned it.
