Bormioli Rocco Fido Storage Jar-Wire Bail-1 L-1 Pack, 1 liter, Clear

Just what I was looking for.

I SHOULD have bought a U.S. brand, but I didn't see any, loved what I read about Bormioli and loved everything I have bought from them!!! I wish I could afford more, but I have nowhere else to put any more anyway~You won't be sorry if you purchase any of their products.

Like all the other products I have purchased from this company, this is a well designed storage container. It has a good seal with a rubber washer and the metal fastener appears to be well constructed. I use it to store coffee. The clear glass is an advantage since you can immediately see the contents, unlike other opaque canisters. I will be buying more in other sizes. Also, being glass, it is very easy to clean. Trust the Italians for design, the Germans for build quality and the French for style and flavor. As for the Chinese, go for the cheap and throw away landfill quality.

I have them in other smaller sizes but I wanted one a little larger. Great for storage.

I was expecting it to be bigger. I order specialty sugar for baking from Europe and needed a jar to accommodate the product.

Bought this for sourdough starter and it works great, perfect size and plenty or room for your starter to grow.

I got this jar to make kombucha but it's actually too small. It's the perfect size for jams, soups, or pickling a small portion though. The seal is a rubber gasket and I haven't had an issue yet but if you seal the jar, the instructions say the gasket is one use only. Not sure if it's because the rubber absorbs scents or warps after awhile. Very nice high quality glass.

I used this jar for only a week and it’s already cracked. I washed it and put my sourdough starter in it and it’s been in the fridge since then. Pulled it out of the fridge today and it’s cracked. It seemed like a good quality jar so I’m disappointed!
