Should be "10" Star Shine!
I have read most if not all of the reviews for 5 Start Shine, and agree with them all! That is to say that this product can work superbly, and in fact I am one of the many TOTALLY satisfied customers. Having said that, I also know that there can be times when it doesn’t work at all! Allow me to explain ...I first used 5 Start Shine after purchasing a brand new car in 2001. I had read about it somewhere online and decided to try it. Well the shine that was supposed to last five years, lasted over ten years! And I hadn’t even started to garage my vehicle back then, which happened after I retired (1/31/11) and cleaned out my garage. I have since then applied the product a second time, and remain just as satisfied. But recently I or I should say, my wife, experienced very unsatisfactory results. My wife purchased a used car and after having it repainted, noticed that the shine on her newly painted car wasn’t as “shiny” as on my 16 year old car. That’s when I told her about 5 Star Shine and she decided to try it. The product arrived on time, but it took her 6 months to finally decide to apply it. She followed the instructions exactly, with me standing by in case my “expertise” was needed. It was after the first part of the application was done, that she ran into difficulty. What happened was that the “wax” part, which is the second part of the product, had deteriorated. I mean broken down chemically separating into a clear watery solution, and a hard white pasty clump. I examined the bottle and tried shaking and stirring the mixture to see if it would combine again, but it just wouldn’t. Having had a similar experience with a “tire shine” product, which I went ahead and used anyway with excellent results, we decided to try and apply it anyway. This time it just didn’t work. Yes, like others have mentioned, it left the car with an awful mess of smudges. So why the 5 star review? Well, after communicating my displeasure with the purchase to the Amazon team, they quickly (within minutes) sent an email to the third party seller (NSearch Technology Inc.) informing them of our situation. In the body of the email it stated that I should allow 2 business days for the seller to respond. But within minutes the seller sent an email asking if we wanted them to send another order or a refund. My wife chose the refund option and by that AFTERNOON, the seller had sent another email stating that her REFUND had already PROCESSED! And that included not only the product price, but also the shipping and handling fee. If that isn’t worthy of 5 stars, then we don’t know what is.Stuff happens, and in this case both Amazon and the seller dealt with it in the most urgent and excellent fashion possible. My wife and I feel very appreciative, grateful and fortunate for such a wonderful experience with Amazon and its seller, and look forward to doing business with both again.Adding photos to show just how well 5 Star Shine has kept my 2001 Hyundai looking brand new! Notice that even on an overcast day the shine bounces off from all areas of the car.

Five Stars for 5 Star Shine
I have been detailing cars for over 30 years now and I am extremely pleased with both the product and service. Many great reviews have been written here already and I don't want to be repetitive of the good things that have already been said. I do have some comments about the negative reviews that I believe are unwarranted. We tend to live in a world where everyone wants instant gratification without putting any effort in, and I believe that if you aren't patient and willing to put in the preparation work, your results will vary. As with any product, you absolutely should read the directions and product information and adhere to those instructions. To that end, a few tips.1) I was afraid that 1 kit would not be enough to cover my F-150 after some comments about coverage. After speaking with the good folks at NSearch I was informed that a single kit is intended to cover 300 sq feet. THIN coat is the operative phrase here. I was able to do both my car, truck, all windows and all 8 wheels with 1 kit, and still have a small amount left for future touchups.2) A good way to practice applying a thin coat is to start on glass, like your windshield. If the product is opaque on the glass and crumbles up like heavily applied wax when you go to remove it you are applying too much. Try a very small amount and elbow grease to do the entire window, you should be able to still see through it, no white residue.Patience and preparation are paramount to a great results. This product is not intended to be your bug and tar remover, swirl mark remover, scratch fix or behave like a wax product. My F150 is 4 years old and it took me 2-3 afternoons of hard work to get the paint where I wanted it before applying the 5 Star sealant. My car is new, with only 5,000 miles on it and I was able to finish the entire car in about 4 hours. In both cases the results were flawless and after road testing through a week of spring rainfall I couldn't be happier with the results. The car can easily be washed with just water or a rinse-less car wash product.

Has a beautiful luster that lasts about 4-5 years on a new ...
Works as described. Has a beautiful luster that lasts about 4-5 years on a new car and probably 3 years on an older car with decent paint. You must properly prepare the paint. On a new car that means a clay bar and on a used vehicle you need to buff out surface with a polishing compound. I recently bought a 1 year old car that spent its first year as a rental car so the numerous car washes has actually dulled the paint a little. I spent about 4 hours buffing and detailing the paint until it looked better than new. I then removed all traces of buffing compound and rewashed the car. Then step one as described and followed up with step 2 in small sections. My former "passable" rental car now looks just like the ones that they detail for the brochures. The key is proper preparation of the surface depending on condition. On my new car I simply used a clay bar and followed instructions, that car sat outside 24/7 and when traded in 4 years later still beaded water and had a new car luster. I have applied this to at least 5 of my personal vehicles in the last 10 years and had never had to wax.. picture is 2013 truck that was treated in 2013 when new and again in june of 2018. this truck has sat outside every day of its life still look like new.
