After reading numerous reviews, I was initially unsure about purchasing a tow-behind sweeper. In the end, I decided to go with an Agri-Fab, and I’m pleased with my choice. The unit arrived quickly, and assembly was a breeze—I had it fully set up in about an hour. Finding the right height took a few test runs, but once adjusted, I was ready to tackle my acre-sized lawn.I was impressed with how well it picked up wet grass, leaving my yard looking neat and well-maintained. After just one use, I’m happy with my purchase.However, I do have some concerns about the durability of the catcher bag, as others have mentioned. The corners, particularly where they meet the sweeper body, lack reinforcement, which could lead to wear and tear over time. I also wish there were a way to disable the sweeper while towing it to my mowing area, as I find the bag is already a quarter full by the time I start. On the plus side, it does an excellent job of sweeping wherever I go!After my first use, I’ve already noticed some fabric stress and scuffing on the bag, which makes me question its long-term durability. I may need to reinforce it with patches to extend its lifespan.

I used the Agri-Fab 45-0492 Lawn Sweeper behind my John Deere tractor mower. This product is very easy to set up and very easy to use. For me backing things up has always been an issue and this is no different. I try to make all my passes where I don't have to turn around or cut real sharp. My lawn is very large & takes quite a bit of time to cover everything. In my front yard I have 18 Cottonwood trees and the leaves they drop can be very overwhelming. I use this and it was like just mowing the lawn. Everything was picked up pretty much on the first pass.With these trees, I get a lot of dropped branches and twigs. This picks up about 95% of all the twigs. It seems to be a quality product and have had absolutely no problem with it at this point. It is so effective that the bag fills up very quickly as it picks up everything in its path. Of course picking up everything in my situation requires a lot of dumping of the basket. The basket dumps extremely easily by a handheld rod which you simply pull and drive forward.When the cotton is coming off the trees and settles into the grass it is very simple matter to get that taken care of as well with his sweeper.I bought it for the leaf problem in my yard but have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that it picks up everything in its path. Cleaning is a breeze and all you have to do is take your hose to it and put it away. In it's stored position,it is a bit bulky. All in all this is a fine product and is very sturdy. It can be adjusted side to side by simply sliding the bar left or right and re-tightening the clamp.The sweeper cut my work time by 85% when the leaves are on the ground. When the twigs build up, I get the sweeper out and make short work of a tough situation.You can buy with confidence knowing that you just saved a lot of back breaking work.Agri-Fab 45-0492 Lawn Sweeper, 44-Inch

This review does not speak to the longevity as I have only had this for just under 2 weeks. It was received quickly with no damage to the box from shipping, yet when I pulled it all out of the box to begin assembly the external arm on the left that adjusts the height was bent out noticeably, enough that the catch spring pin that locks it into its set height position would not catch. So before I could even begin assembly I had to disassemble the item almost completely in order to remove the piece and straighten it out. None of the parts bags were ripped, yet before I got started I opened the bags on my table to make sure all of the parts and quantities were there and I was missing 2 hair pin cotter pins (R-clip cotter pins) and one lock nut. Thankfully I have some spare parts bins in my garage and was able to grab spares to complete the assembly. It went together quickly and very easily once all other issues were fixed. It took me 1.5 hours to assemble, but that includes having to strip it to fix the height bar and then reassemble as well as sort through my spare parts bins to find parts to replace the missing pieces. If everything had been proper right out of the box this would take less than 30 minutes to assemble.USE: It works very, very well. I have used it twice now. Birch leaves, birch branches, spruce needles, spruce cones, dried dog doo, small stones, you name it, it picks it up first pass! It did take about 10 minutes of messing around with the height adjustment (its very easy to do) as well as speed to drive at until I found the 'sweet spot' but now that I have it set and know the speed to go I only need to do one pass. The only thing I am not 100% about is it does throw some of the lighter leaves (dried birch leaves for example) over the top of the bag. I am not sure if I were to put a little ramp on the underside of the top at the edge to force the leaves down more, or if I should just try to extend the top of the leaf bag down further towards the metal top by using nylon door screen, would work. I'll ponder it some more first. I find if I slowed down enough that the light birch leaves don't fly over the top / back of the bag then the sweeper wouldn't pick up the heavier stuff like the birch branches or dog doo. I also have this offset slightly so that its edge is on the same line as my mower deck so I can sweep the leaves right to about 4" from the fence or house. Emptying this is almost too easy, even full of leaves I just reached back, grabbed the handle while still seated on my lawn tractor pulled it towards me, it took very minimal effort to dump. The pivot point is perfectly placed. I just pulled the bag completely upside down and drove forwards then set it back and parked it back in my garage. The bag also detaches with two quick spring clips and the bag folds to only about 6" deep, so minimal room is wasted in my garage.Bottom line: Great product (almost perfect), but very poor care in factory assembly and packaging detail.
