They measure 15*12 cm and are built with general purpose carding cloth that works well with most fibers. These carders have a small lip milled into the rear edge of the paddle to protect the carding cloth from becoming worn and the handles have been precisely built into the paddles for superior strength. Lightweight unfinished wood with knots.
My carders arrived unfinished and have a small split in the wood on the handle. Everything else appears to be ok.

Good production carders
I use my carders pretty hard, but still they last well. This type of carder is well made and economical, a practical workhorse rather than a polished and dainty tribute to the craft of fiber processing. There was an occasion that the staples pulled loose from a carder very much like one of this set, but a little white glue to better hold the staples, with the same staples pressed back into their original holes, has solved that problem. So, I continue to use that same pair for a couple of years, now, and the ones from this purchase are kept in anticipation of my eventually needing them

Beautifully made hand carders!!
WOW!! I am just so happy with these! They are amazing quality for the price. When I received them I was so surprised! They are bigger than I thought, they are stained a gorgeous color, and they blend wool beautifully! I am blown away! They even arrived a little earlier than expected too.
