Does not fit thus door won’t shut completely and binds so hard to open back up

I was able to get this part to work for my 1991 Wrangler YJ. The screw holes were a bit misaligned, but fortunately, not badly enough to prevent the screws from going in. I needed to use a few 1/2" washers as spacers for the striker to ensure the tightened striker protruded far enough to properly align with the door latch. I also had to use a large wrench to bend the tightened striker a little towards the outside of the Jeep to get it better aligned in that direction, otherwise the latch would not fully engage with the striker.

I have a 91 Wrangler. I ordered R&L side replacements. They fit perfectly. No adjustments whatsoever. They are also great quality.I would definitely recommend!

Bolted right in and works well, metal was a little thin though. For the price, happy, now my door closes!

While I still have these, because I had no other option. These are not going to fit and work right out of the box. I had to do a lot of modifying, grinding, drilling. The holes matched the factory ones exactly, but the door would not close at the start. I finally got it to work, but it was a pretty major headache. I also had to buy additional washers in order to get the striker bolt out far enough for the door to close around it. I had to remove the rivets holding the nut in place and move that entire assembly closer to the exterior of the body, drill it and re-rivet it in the new position. Just expect this not to work easily.
