Hadley Table Reindeer Woodcut Hard Placemats, Rectangle, SET OF 4

I looked at these for months before ordering, mostly due to the price (I'm a bargain hunter!), but then bought before the end of November. I will use these through Valentine's Day.Pros:Lovely wood/papercut design reminiscent of traditional Pennsylvania Dutch/German wood/paper craftsSolid - good thicknessEasy to clean - wipe with a damp cloth and dry offHusband likes them - and the color comboDesign of two kissing reindeer can be used December 1 through Valentine's DayCons:Not a true red or white/off-white - "Red" has a very terra cotta tone; other lighter color is like an antique piano key ivory or French Vanilla ice creamThere are lots of imperfections in the finished product - tiny wrinkles, a bit of paper debris under the clear seal, minor dents/scratches - you REALLY need to look to see these in good light, but they are there.For my money and enjoyment, the cons don't outweigh the pros. I'm glad I bought these and expect to use them for several years in my seasonal hardmat rotation. (But if they were offered in a true red or crimson with white contrast, I'd buy them again!)UPDATE:I've been using these for more than two months now. They stay on the table and are used for every meal daily. They have held up well. I still wish they were a true-er red, but I continue to find the design delightful. I'll be putting them away Feb 15, to rest up until December.
