SAMDO 52MM Waterproof 2" Marine Hour Meter Boat Hour Gauge 9-32V with Red Backlight

I went through two analog hour meters with moving parts, both failed before ten hours on my riding mower. I bought this meter and have not experienced any problems. It also lights up if you connect the light wire to your headlight wire switch. The connector is secure and will not fall out, the wire pigtails are eight inches long, providing plenty of wire to connect to the existing wires. Three wires total: plus, minus for the meter, and one light wire. This hour meter is excellent and works and will not lock up like an analog hour meter. Buy it.

Used on my boat is working good

It was a very affordable hour meter and pretty easy to install. I connected it to the volt meter. We had a day of really choppy water and it was occasionally flashing 8s. But it only happened the one time for a few minutes.

Looks great but inaccurate. I bought this hour meter to install in a boat with 139 hours on it. I wired the meter directly to a 12 volt battery (on a charger) for 139 hours prior to installing it in the dash of my boat. I found that this meter is off by -11 minutes in 24 hours. That's -45 minutes in 100 hours. This is disappointing since I have purchased mechanical quartz clock movements for $15 that are accurate to a few minutes in a year. I have tried this and a two similar units from another seller with the same results. If you are looking for accuracy, keep looking. If you are okay with a ballpark calculation of hours, this hour meter is for you.

In less than 25 hours of total run time, it has reset to zero twice and is currently reading 0.4 hours. Useless. Avoid.

Slightly undersized for 2" hole but able to make it work and looks good

Was easy to install on my boat and got in nicely on my dash cluster.
