Laurie Gates by Gibson Hand-Painted Luxembourg Dinnerware Set, 10.5” Pie Dish and 8” Square Bakeware, Floral

I hesitated to order these as many had commented on their size as being inadequate. I am glad I did end up getting them! Both dishes are great quality bakeware with a great price and a very attractive look. They are quite heavy and therefore feel sturdy to handle and the to me the sizes seem great. I will note that the bake dish is rectangular, not a square, and therefore the size can be said to be smaller than advertised. The base of the round pie dish is not glazed (some other review had mentioned this as a negative), but this the case for all the pie dishes that I own. The un-glazed base is said to distribute heat more evenly during the baking. Overall I am extremely pleased. I ordered two sets of these, the first one arrived today safe and sound and hopefully the second set will be here soon. I got one set as a gift which I will feel happy to give away as these dishes look beautiful :)

This is a lovely set and very well made for this price point. I’ve baked with both pieces in oven temps of about 375F with absolutely no problem. BTW, I have more expensive bakeware but, honestly, don’t see much of a difference. Highly recommend!

Great sturdiness, and I love the pattern. I've ordered two sets of the pie plates/casserole dishes. I didn't want to dock a star because of it, but the patterns on the sides of both of the pie plates I've ordered has been a little messy compared to the casserole dish (the stamping was slightly crooked or over pigmented). Luckily its the outside of the dish, so not the part that is too visible. Overall great dishes though!

Found these when searching for a sturdy pan for pies in which I would be able to cut without damaging the pan itself. The design is gorgeous and the quality is great. Made a type of cherry pie with puff pastry in the round one a couple of days ago and without excessive greasing, it came right out without damaging the dessert. Would 100% recommend :)

It said in advertisement that it was 8 inch square. It definitely is not. It's actually smaller than a gold trimmed one that I bought with a blue trimmed casserole pan

My sister asked for a pie dish & a square baking pan to match her polish ceramic baking dish. What could have been more perfect than this!? Except when I opened it, the square was not square, it was a rectangle. Bigger than a loaf pan, but still not quite 7"x 9", more like 6.5" x 7.75" (so smaller than 8x8.) I was so disappointed in that, but she didn't care, she loved it! The ceramic was painted absolutely beautifully! Deep navy trim was bright & precise. Coordinated perfectly, & very high quality.

Love both the bowls. The paint is perfect. A little on the heavy side but looks pretty and dishwasher and oven safe

This is my 2nd and final try at ordering this FRAGILE item. It was shipped both times with NO protective packaging and arrived in pieces. This is a real shame since this is a such a beautiful baking set. I will no longer try to order fragile items from Amazon. I found and just ordered this item at B B & Beyond and hope that they have been better educated about effective packing and shipping!! Please improve your protective shipping practices Amazon!
