McCulloch MC1255 Wallpaper Remover and Steam Cleaner

I repair aplliances and I find this steamer works quite well for thawing out frosted up coils. It has held up well so far and you are ready to steam almost instantly. It isn't heavy at all. All the water needs to be steamed out if it gets below freezing in the van or it wont work unitl thawed. I never find any reviews on steamers for this purpose, so I thought id share.

This wallpaper remover worked like a dream for about 2 weeks. Then the trigger mechanism got stuck and the steam wouldn't cut off until it was unplugged. Called the company and they were super-nice; sent a return label so it could be exchanged quickly.

It was working good and then it suddenly stopped working, water won’t heat up and water come out where steam is supposed to

I bought this steamer to take down stubborn wallpaper. Admittedly, I have never used a steamer before, but I was quite disappointed in its performance. It didn't put enough moisture on the wall to wet the wallpaper sufficiently to scrape it off. I did better with water in a sprayer.

Needed a way to remove a stuck wallpaper border before painting and this thing worked great. I used the angle tip and the amount of steam generated was exactly the right amount to loosen it enough so all I had to do was to gently pull it off the wall.

Like I want to trot out a big steam cleaner every time I do or touch up the bathroom. This and a gallon of distilled water under the bathroom sink is perfect for my use. I sanitize the hamper, the toilet and maybe even use it on the tub/shower to keep things fresh. It cuts though soap scum easy. It would be nice if they had included a wider cloth thing or squeegee to clean the glass on the mirrors or in the tub, but you can't have everything. I'm sure this would work for removing wallpaper too, but I don't need it for that.So as a portable easy to trot out disinfector, this is great. Put one in your main bathroom and it can be used once a week without much effort to keep things spotless. Highly recommended for light, frequent use, however add some better cleaning attachments than the brush and shooter!

Would give it zero stars if I could!! One star for shipping speed!!! Wating to return it right now. Arrived with no instructions but it's pretty obvious how it works and how the attachments fit. Filled it with water fixed attachments and plugged it in. The unit would warm up no problem but when pulling the trigger nothing happened. May be a defective unit but needs to go back for a refund.
