Great straight-foward blu-ray player
I have been looking for a "bare-bones" blu-ray dvd player that doesn't try to connect to the internet everytime I inserted a blu-ray dvd. This unit doesn't even provide such a connection in the first place - great if you just want to get straight to the movie. To me this even speeds up the loading time because most players pause to ask you if you would like to connect to the internet? & I have to answer "NO" with the remote every time a new disc is loading. Don't get me wrong...there is nothing bad about streaming video or the other options on the newer players,(I have one too) but it's harder to find a basic player these days with Blu-ray.* Update* 11/24/13 - I have upgraded to a 3-D player - I am still using this unit in a recreational room connected via HDMI cable for television viewing; as well as a regular Compact Disc player, connected to a stereo system using the supplied RCA audio output jacks. (so the television doesn't have to be on) I have noticed most of the newer dvd players have omitted the regular RCA audio output jacks. (those red & white connectors) Which ever brand you choose, and if you still want to use your DVD player as a Compact Disc player too, be sure these jacks are still provided on the replacement model.

Crappy Customer Service
I purchased this player on Cyber Monday for a Christmas gift. By the time my mother received it and set it up, it was past the 30 day return policy. It never worked from the beginning, and 24-7 edealer refused to work with us even to do a straight exchange. So much for trying to get my Christmas shopping done early. Now I'm stuck with a non-working player, and my mother is out a Christmas gift. Never purchase anything from 24-7 edealer.

Problems with LG BD610
This is a very low-end Blu-Ray player, with no internet connection. I wanted to wait a while before I did a review, and glad I did. I bought this model new for $50.00 about a year ago (10 months?) and overall had no problems to mention, but recently it stopped playing DVD discs. "Check Disc" pops up and it ejects. It only plays Blu-Ray discs. Just beware that you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this particular model, but, I have had good luck with higher end LG models.

Basic BluRay Player
This is your basic BluRay player, it also plays regular DVDs, expect nothing more.It does play BluRays pretty smooth, and skips DVD Menus (I'm not sure if that's good or bad sometimes) going directly into the movie.Doesn't have WiFi, doesn't support anything, I think you can burn your own homemade movies to a BluRay or DVD and it will play it, but it's got to be a certain file. It's got a USB port but it doesn't run movies off of it, not really sure what it's for, if you do know please comment and let me know.
