Good low wattage heater!
I am happy with this cozy heater! I wanted a low wattage heater (the low setting on this heater is 750W) for my old house. While on low, it may take time to heat up to where I set its thermostat, but it does start rising the room temperature immediately - even in my non-insulated, 3-outer-walls room!I love the fire effect, though the difference from the dim to the bright setting is not very big.All of the buttons (hi and low wattage settings, on/off) and knobs (thermostat and brightness of firelight) are easy to use and hide behind the door.Another thing I like about the look of this heater is that it does not have the brand plastered on the front. All you see is the nice fireplace. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because you canNOT turn on the heater without also turning on the simulated fire. I was hoping for heat-only option with no light for nighttime. You can, however, only turn on the fire light without the heat.

Beautiful and good price
I have one of these already (from a different manufacturer though). My parents admired mine and when I saw that the exact model that I purchased from the other manufacturer was no longer available on Amazon, I decided to buy this one for them and give it to them as a Christmas gift. They really love it! The dancing flames are beautiful. They had an existing freestanding electric fireplace that had an electric log unit with a heater and blower that was no longer working. The fireplace design had beautiful carving and molding but it was no longer functional. It was just taking up space. They had moved it out to the sun porch and the next stop was the trash dump or the Habitat for Humanity ReStore! They were able to remove the old unit and replace it with this one and you can't even tell that it's a replacement. It looks perfect and it seems to emit more heat and have a brighter flame than the original. Is it as realistic looking as some of the Dimplex and Duraflame models? No, but it looks as good as the original that came with the fireplace and it was an economical way to restore a lovely freestanding fireplace unit and make it functional again.I have attached a picture.

You are on your own.
There are absolutely no instructions. Description says made of wood, but is thin metal and the legs are plastic. Easy to assemble. It looks nice. Throws so much heat close to the floor I would not recommend it for carpeted area, as the heating unit is very close to the kitchen floor which gets too hot for me to stand on. It looks nice and I will only use it when I am in the room, so should be okay. No temp levels on the thermostat. There was no pkg insert with directions, warranty, or help number. Good luck. I don’t know how long it will last. I would give more stars if I thought there was a warranty or maybe even some instructions. No remote.

There may be better choices
Pros: Attractive appearance, effective heaterCons: Build quality, somewhat noisyWhen our heater arrived, on flipping it over to attach the legs I saw that the rubber grommet intended to protect the power cord from the punched hole in the metal was not installed correctly. Not too surprising, since it looked like the grommet was too large to fit the hole properly anyway. So... they just left it there hoping it would eventually shrink and migrate into the correct position? Hard to say. At any rate, I needed to cut a bit of the grommet and managed to work it into position to protect the wiring. If yours arrives like this and you aren't comfortable making this fix, DO NOT USE IT; SEND IT BACK. Uncorrected, this is unsafe since the metal edge could eventually wear through the wire insulation and electrify the outside of the heater, which is mostly metal. So once I fixed that, I plugged it in and it does work. The heater blower is somewhat loud compared to a similar heater purchased from Lowes a few years ago. When the heater is not running, the little gearmotor that rotates the flame effect tinsel wheel quietly knocks and rattles away. Our other heater with a similar flame effect does not make this much noise. It's not deafening, but still. This cost as much as the other heater which is nearly silent. My advice would be to buy the one they sell at Home Depot.

I Love this little heater
We bought this item to use in a 33', 5th wheel we are living in this winter. We've already had some snow and rain. We enjoy this item because it's light enough to move closer or farther away. We supplement our electric and propane with this heater. I would not recommend it as your only heat source. It works very well for what we wanted--something to snuggle up to when it's cold. Recently I accidentally put gloves to close to the unit and it overheated. I'm grateful that the unit shut itself off--after melting a tiny bit of the outside. My husband was able to take it apart and fix the unit and now put back together it's working better than ever.

Very Good Purchase
This fireplace gets used everyday! We live in Michigan in a beautiful home with a fireplace that was a wasted space because the wood is messy, bug filled and ashes have left yucky spots on our carpet. We loved the propone inserts but the costs to run lines & insert was over $3,000 not including the propane cost. This looks good (note do not expect it to look like a real 🔥) but it looks classy and professional. It kicks our quite a bit of heat we have a brand new heat and cooling system that is every accurate it raises the temp two degrees quickly kicking our heat system off. Easy to get going pull it out of the box plug in and turn on side switch (at first we thought it didn't work due to side switch not being turned on).

A few problems but it works
The media could not be loaded. This heater is nice. I believe it's too small for what I need it to heat but for what it is its pretty good. One problem I have is there is no temp control. There is no way to turn the heat up or down it's just turn it on and turn it off that's it. It is nice that you can keep the light on and the heat off of you only want ambiance. This has blown a fuse in my house already so you need to have a designated area not being used as it draws too much power. My heavy duty extension cord also gets warm from the draw of the power. Your going to want to invest in a beefy cord with this. Hopefully it does what it's intended to do. We will see.
