Great product
The media could not be loaded. Definitely great quality, worked as expected! Used it to hold slugs in place to weld 65 holes in the roof of a 65 Dodge Power Wagon and never an issue! Highly recommend!

A great tool that is worth the price.
I suppose I could've finagled a way to do the same thing this tool does, but I'm not sure I'd really be saving any money based on the quality of this thing. It works great for plugging the holes in my old C10 from the various accessories and different mirrors sheet-metal-screwed through the body over the last 40 years.Strong magnet holds the assembly in place well. Quick and easy:- place copper pad behind prepared hole in the body;- use thumbscrew to snug pad up to the sheetmetal;- weld hole shut;- repeat! :)

where have you been all my life?
I bought this tool to fill some 1/4 inch holes in my car's body where a spoiler used to be mounted. It works exactly as advertised. I have tried using copper plumbing pipe as a backer and it's just not thick enough and burned through and stuck. Also this is pretty small. The pcopper pad is about 1 inch square but is rounded.. I was able to easily shoot the pad with my mig welder and the welding wire melted onto (but did not stick to) it and then fused that puddle into the surrounding metal. It made the job (filling 6 holes) a snap. The magnetic mounting is a god send. I have no idea how I would have done it without it... Being a novice welder and an even more novice body man, I had been searching for a solution for this for some time. I highly recommend this tool for anyone needing a good weld backer for stuff like this. It would have cost me good money to have all those hole filled at a body shop I'm sure!

Works well, but best for small holes.
This product works well for patching holes in sheet metal in confined spaces. It works better than the larger flat plate ones, but not as well as the AGK450 Hole Plug Magnet XL, also available from Amazon. Still, it fits into small areas better.

Glad I did because it works great
I saw this handy dandy little tool on a youtube video and decided to pick one up. Glad I did because it works great. I used it for helping me fill in some trim holes in an old fender for my Ford Truck. I'm an amateur welder so this little device was a snap to use and made it super easy to fill in the holes. Grab one for your toolbox, you'll be glad you did.

Worth the money!!
Worth the money!!! I’ve had several different style magnets over the years and this by far is the most versatile. Holds up to the Heat very well. The magnet is super strong for its size and the copper pad has yet to show signs of fatigue or weakness. Have welded several dozen holes with this and have had no issues. It’s not the 1 magnet for all your needs but it’s definitely gonna tried as such. Having the adjustment for the tension and angle of pad works perfectly, can’t say much more except spend the few extra dollars and buy now.

Works Great
As an amateur welder I need all the help I can get. This little devise comes in handy when doing butt welds with a small gap to fill. It's easy to place and the magnet keeps it where you put it. Working on the floor pan of my 55 chevy I placed this under the car and welded the seam from inside. There would be no way to hold the copper plate in place without the magnetic feature. Thanks for a great product!
